Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I don't understand why so many here have such a problem with restrictions on the 20% off coupons. Plenty of items that they DO work on. Name one other store that allows customers to get a discount on the item of their choosing.
Many/most of the excluded items go on sale periodically.

I don't have a problem with the restrictions, but there are many more exclusions being added now that HF is selling higher quality, higher priced items. I mentioned it so others are aware before they try to get 20% off on a pole saw, code reader, battery jump starter, floor jack, tool chest, etc. Read the rules, know the rules, no problem. Like you said, watch for coupons for those items excluded. I'd rather have the better selection of better quality tools they are offering now, compared to what they offered before.

I saw the list, but "tool box" is not listed. So I figured I'd ask the collective brain instead of driving a half hour to try it.

They’re considered to be “cabinets” which are excluded.

Buy an extra pair of $3+ needle nose pliers!
Then you can get a "free" mini flashlight?

Took our Odyssey minivan to buy the 1,000 lb motorcycle lift as it痴 on sale this weekend. The store I went to would only load it with a forklift into a pickup truck.

The box is 340 lbs and 89 long and the cargo area over 90? Have to go to another store that understands material handling.
At our local HF, the guys use a hydraulic lift table and raise the box to deck height then slide it onto a minivan, for example.

Did they use a Harbor Freight hydraulic lift table?

I suspect it's an OSHA or insurance rule so employees don't potentially injure themselves loading large, heavy boxes into customers' vehicles.
Maybe borrow a truck from a friend?
That and the general difficulty of getting a forklift close enough to the back of the minivan to get the box in without hitting the mast of the forklift on the tailgate of minivan.

That Store (Medford, MA) only.

At another store they wheeled the box out on two hydraulic lift tables they also sell, jacked it up to the right height, and slid it in. I had two sections of PVC pipe to use as rollers.

The manager just didn’t want to be bothered. Tomorrow I’ll go to Braintree.
