Thanks to you and k0ua, I just ordered DeWalt 20V grease gun and the standard LNL. Now to figure out where all my zerks are located.

James - Do you use the same brand/type grease on your DK or do you use whatever you can find at the time, etc? I'm not a grease expert....

And yes... All that to say, what grease do you use?

UPS was very good to me today! Locked and loaded! (pun intended )

I have the the short Lock&Lube and the long-ish one to, but at times or everytime that long-ish Lock&Lube is not long enough. I have two fittings, one I get under the tractor and the other one between the skid plate and tractor, I now need a 12" long L&L or something 12" long for those two grease fittings on my brake pedal. Then I also need something for a 45° angle for the one on my clutch pedal, these 3 fittings take longer to grease than all the other fittings on the tractor. What's needed is a zerk grease fitting kit for hard to grease places for $19.99.

A guy who does forestry mods on tractors here in my town has a solution for hard-to-reach grease zerks (since his mods sometimes create a problem with zerks): he mounts the zerks remotely. He removes the zerk and connects metal tubing where the zerk was, routes the tubing out to where it's easy to reach, and puts a zerk on the end of that. I've not looked closely to see what fittings he uses.

I have been using the red grease at Wal-Mart. I like it because it is not so nasty as the black grease that contains Moly. Yeah Moly is good, but man don't ever get any on your clothes. I grease often, and sooner or later you are going to get some grease on your clothes.

we use the black grease at work and I can't even walk past a tube with it getting on me. we also use the red high temp grease I like it for just about everything.
