I'm looking though to buy a Japanese tractor with FEL right now actually, because hand manipulation of hay gets old really quick, and lots of gravel would be nice to deal with paths on our pure clay soil.

Thanks for sharing. Neat pics. Better watch out, those kids will grow up fast if you blink.

71F here and 20% chance of showers. Garden is a mud pit. I had to pull the 10 year old daughter out yesterday. She wandered in there with mud boots on. She got plucked out and the mudboots stayed. I bet it took about 100lbs of force to break them loose. She got fussed at.

Luckily for all my posted rant about the misuse of unmanned aerial vehicles got sucked up into the internet void of no return. It's for the best.

There are established recommendations by the American Modelers' Association and the FAA. Shooting one down even over one's own property is illegal. Militarizing one (arming) is really a no-no. They are banned from the Federal Park System and many State Parks as well. Many cities have made their use over their own domain illegal which in itself is illegal. They are legal to fly over my town's public domain, but I would probably not like the reactions from the local residents nearby.

I have seen some really decent videos of militarized drones doing serious damage on the targets below and then packed with plastic explosives penetrate a vehicle below and explode. All this under the operator's control.

LS- I will whine, pout, and kowtow to the point I have bruises on my forehead , forearms, and knees to get what I want or after the fact, seeking "forgiveness.":cool::D I am starting to think I "need" a drone like David's.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

Everything that is 'recyclable' goes into the blue bin at the dump. The food waste and cat litter goes into the dump itself for the bears and dump ducks to pick over and the paper and burnable waste gets burned at home unless it is lumber cut offs and they go into the burn pile at the dump.

I have an old wood stove, still in good shape except for the CSA sticker (Insurance wont cover anything not CSA approved), I use it for an incinerator with a double wall chimney that was in questionable shape that I didn't trust in the house. You need to remember that I am completely surrounded by Larch/Tamarack and Pine trees. NO open fires for me. This spring I will buy a new T for the top of the chimney and put 1/2" hardware screen over the open holes to stop the sparks from flying.

For years GTA trucked their trash to MICHIGAN. I think they stopped when we started making them pay more.

We have had a Roomba for several years. Sure saves the old back. Ours goes from solid to carpet with no problems. About one time a month it finds a place that it cannot figure out how to get of. We have lots of places for it to get caught in. Biggest problem, remembering to empty collection canister.
My son has a Roomba and a Samsung Vacuum. He claims the Samsung does a better job. But $$$$$ more.

We've had Hoover, Electrolux, Bissell, and Eureka, have used my parents' and grandparents' Kirbys, and we now have a Shark; hands down the absolute best vacuum cleaner I ever used. No experience at all with things like the Roomba but might like to try one.

67°F and 1.67 inches rain - not done.

Busy day ahead. Hosting lunch for BIRMA (Bi Island Retired Military Association) here at the house. I decline to serve on the Board or any official capacity so periodically we host one of the bimonthly meetings. Sophie wanted something different so this time is a pot luck. Expecting around 22 people counting guests and speaker. Will start arriving around 10 for board meeting and usual clear out around 2. An interesting group from all services and spouses.

Be safe
Have a great day

44°F and rain this morning, going up to 52° today. Looking like rain most of the day here.

Near the south side of I-70 just east of St. Louis is a huge earthen mound built by long gone indigenous people known as the Mississippians. It's one of the largest hand-built earthen structures in the world, maybe even the largest. About a 1/2 mile west of there on the other side of the highway is a landfill that makes the largest mound look like an anthill by comparison. Sad.

LS- For your wife's attention: Johnny Dronehunter: Defender of Privacy - Official Trailer feat. Salvo 12 ******* Silencer - YouTube

Our dogs' hair killed our Roomba. They hated it. We liked it.

We have had Hoovers, a Shark, and now this fancy @r$e German made Sebo. The Sebo is really a commercial strength upright vacuum. Well designed and much too heavy for wifey to use easily. Wifey wants another Shark.

Upper air clouds are decking up. Radar returns show the rain is getting close. 50F presently.
