Cars of Walmart is a safer site for your eyes.

The full URL retrieves about 1000 lines of junk for a title, so click on the link, then type an h in front. Then select Volume Two. One didn't work for me.

Some of those cars are pretty weird too!

Jalopnik Cars of Walmart is amazing. What terrifies me is that Massachusetts is the second least obese state in the country: walk around a WalMart here, though, and you’d never guess that to be true.

To many of us, metro Boston is still city.

According to the Census Ohio is 78% urban, join the club.

Ironically the most popular vehicle in Ohio is the Honda Civic. Boston, with tens of thousands of college students, is infested with them. Most of the pickups are commercial.

We thought about buying a pickup to tow our boat, but nothing but work trucks will fit in a standard parking space. A Chevy standard bed work truck is 206” long and the bed is too short to put my motorcycles in! Most street bikes are 80” plus.

The long bed, which is actually usable as a pickup, is 224” long. Double cab standard bed is 230” and a crew cab standard bed is 240”. A Tahoe, almost as stupid a vehicle as a standard bed pickup, is 204” long on the same chassis. No way we would have purchased it if we didn’t have a driveway. The boat is nearly 6,000 on the trailer and most Crossovers can only tow 5K or less.

It looks to me Ohio is 89.18 % rural by area and only 10.82% urban.

Thats by area, not population. Ford850 doesn’t state where he lives in Ohio.

States ranked by percentage of residents that live in “urban” areas.

The Most Urbanized States in America

All an aside to the fact that people who live in cities are definitely not the ones driving the purchase of giant pickups. It’s all you suburban and exurban dwellers. You have the money and the space. Why they are all so high (and have giant grilles) remains a mystery....

I do not have a dog in this but it would seem the percentage of area would be the more applicable data point in judging if the state is rural or urban. If that is the bone one you two are picking. A high percentage of population that lives in urban areas could be influenced by one large mega city whereas the state could be quite rural otherwise.

Until the individual clarifies where in Ohio he lives either assertion is valid.

My observation is lots of people here actually live in suburban areas. You can tell because they own fancy pickups!:D

North Central Ohio, in a twp with a population density of 43/sq mi.

130 miles from Wal-Mart and Home Depot. I still think that is to close. Have you ever seen the people of Wal-Mart? Resemble something out of Deliverance or Rocky Horror Picture Show! Skerd!

You need to add a disclaimer. Don't watch the people of Walmart if you are eating or have a bad heart.

Hahahaha Shoppers normally...and when did shopping in pajamas become a thing?

We split our time between Northern Virginia and Northeast Mississippi. Shopping at Walmart in Mississippi makes my wife look svelte.

I can deal with people shopping in PJs. What really alarms me is when I see OTR truck drivers at Love's get out wearing PJs and flip flops!!!!!

In my State I directly feel the impact of 70% or our population being in urban areas. Us in the thinly populated northern half of the State are "sucking hind tit" when it comes to infrastructure.... My County is being bought up by non-resident land owners from other States and/or the urban areas. The impact of these things are immeasurable long term.

That's what happened to VA, the whole state is pretty much controlled by 2, maybe 3 counties.

That's what the Electoral College is supposed to prevent from a National election perspective. Just a few states with high levels of morons could define the whole country. Not there yet, but quickly approaching it. And 'They' want to change it out.

Yet they could accomplish the same without changing the Constitution, simply by splitting delegates based on how each district votes rather than statewide; eliminating gerrymandering. I don't understand the exact details, but Maine is one of only two states which do it that way.

You hear that in every state with a high rural component. That's the way it is here, and I heard the same comments when I worked in upstate New York, even in the pre-Hillary days.

Yes, I think you are correct.

It's a "double edged sword". To get more political power we need a bunch of people to move into our county. I have yet to find a bunch of people in any society that I want moving into my county. Seems the denser the population the less logical the population....

We now have a small group of non-resident land owners here in Missouri that are lobbying our legislators to get free fishing/hunting, no license purchase required, since they aren't residents of Missouri........ Now ya see why I don't want a bunch of those.....

Metro Boston extends from Manchester NH to Worcester, MA to Providence, RI. The people west of Worcester in MA feel they have no say in state government.

In NH there’s long standing tension between the “Woodchucks” North and West of Concord and the “Flatlanders” along the coast, over to Manchvegas and south.

This tension bubbled over when a blogger started asking journalists if they knew anyone who owned a pickup truck.

I just took it for s& giggles. One question stood out; something like "what is Branson"? Tractor was the only thing I could think of, and it wasn't even on the list.
