Back from stress test. Tried to do it on tread mill. Could not get to needed heart rate after 10 minutes. Ended up with chemical stress test. Either I exercise to much or the beta blocker is doing its job. I’m going back to sleep.

All I have to say is WOW! Can you come to my place and do the drive? I don't even need the direction star. I'll buy all the steak you can eat!

Drive looks than better picture. When Don has company visit. They park on grass near where stump came down. They are afraid to damage it.

"and being close to many people in your regular course of work, thank goodness your countermeasures are working so well"

I Think being exposed to so many different pathogens on a frequent basis actually helps to build my immune system. Little at a time and build resistance. We have also discussed if anyone has been keeping track of the statistics between those who had the vaccine and got the flu vs not getting it. Seems that somebody somewhere has done this study... Why haven't we heard either way... They just say "get it"

Everyone has to make their own decision about the flu shot. I'm sure I opened up a big Pandora's box now.

It would be interesting to see if there are any statistics out there about the rate at which flu is contracted by vaccinated vs. unvaccinated people in the medical profession.

I don't know about Pandora's Box, Ted, but in my experience, this group is pretty good at discussing controversial subjects in constructive ways without ruffling up a lot of feathers. Then there are those professional feather rufflers, but I guess that's what the IGNORE feature is for.

I've never had a flu shot. I'm 51. Occasionally I get the flu, but most years not. Been probably 10 years since I have contracted it. I've spent the last 20 years in industries where exposure to certain elements or chemicals promoted the habit of frequent hand washing, be it lead from electronics solder or organ pipes, or the dirty, oily rust inhibitors on steel tubing. I just wash my hands a lot. I'm sure that doesn't hurt with disease prevention.

As for the Pandora's Box thing, this group is definitely better than most on the internet at being civil in pretty much all conversations, regardless of the topic. It's one of the major reasons, as I've noted before, that this thread has become my favorite place on the internet.

Checking in from Fort Lauderdale International Airport...... Flight delayed.

You guys are giving me a lot of reading material to digest. This is one of the few mature and mutually respectful threads that I've found on the internet.

A lot of sick people in this cauldren of pathogens. One guy was so sick in the public bathroom in one concourse that I deceided to go to another concourse and hopefully a "healthier" facility.

With my luck he'll be sitting next to me on the plane.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

I am more OCD than normal with my hand washing and sanitizing.

My late wife got the CDC report every day this time of year or if there was any kind of outbreak. I’ve also seen the stats on shot vs not. In a normal year those getting the shot are 50% -75%
less likely to get flu, but what most people miss is that for every person that is vaccinated 10-15 less cases of flu will occur due to breaking the chain of transmission. As for the shot, it is absolutely impossible to catch the flu from the shot, the nasal spray was weakened live virus and caused many cases of flu, that’s why they stopped using it. Some people have a reaction to the shot or anything that aroused the immune system and can react with aches and fever for a day or two, happens to me about every 5 years or so.

Bought this can today and live it! It won’t spill, has an easy to use start button and automatically stops when full. Best of all is it pours fast like the old cans. If you have a modern no spill can you can buy the nozzle unit for $10, can wasn’t cheap at $34.

I've got two of the diesel cans, both 5 gallons...and two of the gasoline cans (one 5 gallons, one 2.5 gallons). These are great fuel cans!
