Good Morning!!!! 49F @ 7:45AM. Windy with a few showers this morning. A steady, soaking rain developing during the afternoon hours. High 51F. Winds SSE at 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a half an inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
Between today and tonight, looks like we'll get another 3/4" of rain. Another storm rolls through Thursday, but they're saying we'll be dry for the weekend.
Buppies, you'll be happy to know that Dick's Sporting Goods appears to have purchased the dicks.com domain and redirected it to the DSG web site. A very decent thing for them to do.
Hope everyone out there fighting colds and flus heals quickly. Whatever this "thing" is that's going around, here it's been hanging on since before Christmas.
Just updated to the latest MacOS on one of the laptops, and so far everything's still working as it should. Been long enough on the latest version it's probably time to start thinking of upgrading the other two as well. Still holding out on the iPhone, though, as the new iOS drops some features and has been having problems for other people, and the older version is working just fine.
Changed out the damper cartridges on all four shocks on the old motorcycle yesterday. The job went smoothly for the most part, though compressing the spring on the front shocks was a bit of a wrestling match trying to get the ratchet strap into the best position. No pinched fingers and no scratches, so I'm happy. Funny thing is that the damping rates for the old shocks seem much higher than the new ones, but they are Gen-U-Wine BMW parts and the supplier assures me they are the correct ones. We shall see...
Started looking at the wiring harness for the old bike yesterday as well, and the main harness seems to be in pretty good shape. The short one to the ignition switch has many sections of bare wire though, so today I'll get some plastic sleeving on order and start replacing wires. Fortunately there aren't a lot of them.
Happy Hump Day everyone!
