Never heard of getting electricity from a different company. We can get natural gas from different companies here in MI.

Went back and put in 8 yrs of temperatures from my electric bills into my spreadsheet. Then averaged those for the yr. Varies from 52 to 56° for the yr, and no warming trend over the 8 yrs. No correlation with cost, usage, and temp. Several times the "last yrs" temp did not match the temp they gave the yr before.

I put in my zip code and got Zero plans. Here we have no choice. It's just Bluebonnet Electrical Coop.

Then I went back and put my zip code in Houston and got 63 choices. ???

63˚ two hours after sunset and it got up to 68 today. But wait there is no school tomorrow for hundreds of surrounding schools. There has been a forecast of a snow flake tomorrow. Kyle keep those kids off the slipsliddy bus.

I have one choice for electricity. Hydro One. They say they don't have a monopoly on the hydro, but IF I was to go to a retailer for the juice, then I would have to pay the retailer AND Hydro One. Better the devil I know.

Are Lee County schools closed ? I saw Gonzalez County schools announced they are staying closed, but that is the only one I have heard.

They had off MLK day today, and surprisingly, Giddings ISD for once actually planned ahead more than 15 minutes and preemptively closed school for tomorrow.

Cold air is due to hit here around midnight.

Good evening all. 30F this morning, clear sky, light south wind. Frontal passage about 11AM, wind shift to North, sky starting to cloud up. Winds got gusty this afternoon, High tamp at 12 noon (54F) and has dropped to 29F right now. Drizzle in area might get some snow later tonight. Choir practice, recycle run, bike ride, and restart WBS this afternoon and warm the house
