Better than finding rope dog left w/blower like I did couple years back.

Was the dog still attached to it? :D

Ah yes, reminds me when I found the fat Sunday paper in a ft. of snow with my walk behind blower at my old house.

A "fat Sunday paper" here - do they even have those anymore. A "fat Sunday Paper" here means it went from 8 pages to 12. Oh life in the country!

Ours is still a fat Sunday paper but it is all ads. And yes I try to blow one of those years ago. Jammed up so tight I had to pull out pieces to remove. On a Gravely snow blower that uses a slip clutch not a shear pin/bolt. Jon

Lou, last year I bought a 12v heated jacket (motorcycle gear) and I highly recommend that $250 purchase to anyone with an open tractor plowing snow!

I bought the Milwaukee Power tools heated jacket and I concur, nice investment. I use mine for hunting and will be using it tonight at opryland hotel at the Ice event.

I don’t have any pics but we got around 5-6 inches of snow here, enough to fire up the tractor, I cleared off my driveway and my elderly neighbors drive while I was at it.

Then I cleared the house across the street, the house to the left of mine and I noticed 3 houses down their drive wasn’t done either and they had a long one, I made one pass down and one pass back, took only a few mins at most with the tractor in high range on that long driveway.

Two neighbors came out and thanked me after I put the tractor up and the guy with the long drive gave me a Christmas card with a $15 gift card to chipotle inside, he said man I really appreciate it, he didn’t know what he was gonna do because his driveway was so long. My elderly lady neighbor said I had money coming my way for helping her out even know I told her not to worry about it.

I didn’t do it for money, I can care less about that, I did it because I had a tractor with a heated cab and they didn’t. My rig isn’t fancy it’s just a 6ft rear blade right now but it made a lot of families happy today.

So I guess the reason for sharing is when your out there with your rigs, don’t forget to help the less fortunate out, something that takes us a few mins might save someone else hours.

I don’t agree with people who wait for a neighbor to ask before they will help, if you see something that needs done and you can easily do it, just do it. A little random act of kindness now and again goes a long way. Maybe then neighbors won’t act so selfish all the time.

I have a hoodie and a jacket. They are so warm and then you can turn the heat on if you need too!
