Living in a magic place

I've spoken in the past about my sister's farm in the Skagit valley, the link below shows what they are all about. My sister has a degree in biological oceanography, she has applied a great deal of her education to the practice of sustainable farming, and has made a good living while doing so!

Who doesn't like showing off...? Can't hold a candle to everything Andy has built, it's truly a country man's marvel dream IMO...But I do like the view from our porch...no snow now but the river (about 45' wide) is so clear in this cold that I could easily see 28" Rainbow's moving across the sandy spots...the second pic is just to the left (downstream) of the first...

A magic place for me is my place up in Western Washington... it all comes together with the forest, sound, wildlife and tranquility... unless we get a big windstorm then the aftermath looks like Armageddon... but 99% of the time it is magical...

Those photos of WA are quite nice. We moved to the south shore of da BIG lake for the consistent snow so we can cross country ski and mild summers for other outdoor activities. We think its very important to reside wherever the weather fits your lifestyle. We just rolled over 100" for the season. Below is a few photos taken today. The last photos are my job.
