Today I received my hooks that are shown on "rider7767" website and this is a first class kit. All the parts are there for installation. I'm a nut for over building everything and I added a 1/4" X 3" piece of 4' steel to the inside of the bucket for added support and strength. These were easy to install and I think are a great addition. Thanks Rider for the suggestion and the link to the hooks too.

That is sad to see, but I think anyone who compares the products carefully will notice a difference and hopefully go for the US product. Ken's hooks are a work of art with precisely cut plates and amazing welds. Can't say that about the Titan knock offs.

Agreed! Quality of offshore products is often lacking. Amazon is bad about duping folks in to buying foreign junk and I have already cancelled my Prime membership partly due to this fact.

I just ordered a 6-pin wiring harness to install a stereo in my 3135 and just noticed it will be here in 6 weeks and is shipping from Hong Kong. Phooey! It shipped the same day so I couldn't even cancel.

After slinging my generator with ratchet straps today and then watching this video I'm sold that this is a much better way. I really liked your video. Not to poke my finger at you, but a suggestion - WD40 is awesome for aluminum, but a poor cutting oil for steel. Grab a can of this if you shop at Harbor Freight 12 Oz. Thread Cutting Lubricant It is sticky and great for places you'd use a hand drill since it won't just run like an oil. There are also much better cutting oils, but for a good general purpose cutting oil I really like this and use it for steel and stainless on the lathe & mill often. Anyway, you will see that you drill steel faster and your drills stay sharp much longer with this (or other cutting oil for steel) vs WD40.

"rider7767" your video covered the painting like a pro too. A quick wipe down with some BrakeClean and we're good to go. Rattle can it and it matched LS's paint job almost perfectly. Thanks again rider for following through and all the details as usual. :thumbsup:

I got 3 hooks to go at each end and one in middle. Would it be beneficial to run a piece of 3/16" x 3" x 50" steel under the top part of bucket where these will attach? Added strength or just waste of time & material? Not welding the steel backer strip to bucket, just drilling and the 6 bolts for the hooks wold pass thru holding that strip there. The bucket seems stout enough that I don't think I could damage it trying to lift anything - I think I'd run out of lifting force before running out of bucket strength, but figured no harm in asking. <$20 of cold rolled steel so not a big deal if it would do any good.

I just bolted my 2 on the outer edges on the ends. I have lifted things w/chains and also straps w/o any problems, but not real heavy stuff (big, bulky, and awkward though). I agree that you would probably max out the lift capacity before you would bend the bucket. I mounted mine very close to the side end of the bucket wher the top is welded to the side. I would suspect that the center would be the weakest.

I was reading this thread, and it just struck me funny! You said, Sad to see. You are beating this guy up for using hooks bought from another country all the while listing 2 tractors and a UTV made with majority foreign parts. I am new hear, so I may not understand how things work. Not looking for a fight. It just struck me funny. I like his videos.
