Good morning all, 18 going to 37 and mostly sunny and windy with gusts as high as 24. Did nothing yesterday except what I had to, did not feel good yesterday. Not real bad, but not good. Feel better this morning. Took mom to the arthritis dr and found out that one of her drugs might be causing her shortness of breath. They took her off of it and will see if it helps and if she needs anything to replace it. Today???? Maybe a Costco run, maybe.... Time will tell.

PJ, when wife and I had been married for about 9 years I told her I was going to shave my beard so she would know what I look like. She said she knew and when I shaved she said she thought she knew. :laughing: I must be ugly because she wanted me to grow it back reel quick. :laughing: Not counting that I have had a full beard for well over 25 years. Can't imagine shaving it.

Roy, not much of a Vermonter or Vermonster? That was one of the best CB handles I heard when I was driving truck.

18 high of 35 with wind up to 24mph milder air comes back for next week thru Christmas I think but still no rain. Lots of snow squalls last night very windy ground covered still

20 going to 37. Took the woodstove ashes out a while ago and it didn't feel that cold...wind died down after howlin' and growlin' all night.

BEF, glad to hear your appetite has returned, and certainly agree that Mavc and cheese and Bar-B-Q are the right go-to-renourishments.

Early 7am county meeting to go to today...then maybe search for some Christmas stocking stuffers for my wife. Anybody have any ideas?

Drinking first cup of coffee. 13° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 22° with snow most of the day. Taking wife to another doctor appointment this morning. Hope to make it home before foretasted snow hits. Got drive cleared before therapist and nurse showed up yesterday. Spent rest of day inside.
Don, asked Betty if she wanted a IP. Nope. No place left to store another electric appliance. Easy shopping, Amazon gift card for her to buy more books.
Drew, Yup fill them wheels with dirt and plant flowers. Another item to trim around when doing the lawn.

Cowboy Jalapeno Beef Stew

Grady Spears visited our annual Texas Hill Country Trail Ride a couple of years ago and fixed his Cowboy Jalapeno Beef Stew for about 200 of us.

I’ve made it in my Dutch oven, slow cooker, and Instant Pot. It’s always good on our S. Texas “cold” winter days.

17F now low 20's for high gusty winds at times 30mph + single numbers for tonight.
Snow clean up plan for today...roofs walks plowing etc. than take the day as it comes.

Six weeks today and I must say I’m improving slowly, but not a day goes by that I don’t relive that morning and try to figure what I could have done differently or better.
