Beautiful morning here in Golden, CO. No crews working today, but I still got up early to get coffee. Caught this guy working mice and probably rabbits, which seem to be everywhere around here.

On the oven proof setting, I really did not know what it was or even if my oven had it till a month ago while watching the British show on Netflix.

Am I the only one that naive or are there others? Does your oven have it?

My new speedqueen washer has an eco cycle. Do others with speedqueen have this cycle?

Yes on the eco cycle. My mom has the most basic model she bought this year.

The eco cycle just uses less water I told my Mom not to turn it on. She still is very happy with her Speed Queen.

Whatever you do, do not go into the basement.

Good evening all. 59F this morning, overcast, calm wind. Overcast remained all day, wind moderately gusty at times, and a high temp of 67F. Chapel this morning, helped stepdaughter with TV, it had gotten unplugged from behind the TV and her internet was acting up, ended up replacing the cable between cable modem and router and all was good. There was an issue of TV not talking to router, but finally went away. Did get a good nap in .

Ron, you could be right about giving out that number. My wife's mobile comes from a bygone era when they knew how to make phones very energy efficient. She took an ac charger just in case, then told me when she returned that she'd also bought a new charging lead for her car. It must have been all that pillow talk with wng.

Very little wind at the moment, looks like being a good day to sort through the stack of greenhouse glass.

No "proof" on my three year old Kenmore electric stove. Is this a setting just for propane stoves? My temp gauge is digital; is proof like self clean where it gets very hot?

All I can say about this morning is I'll be glad when it's done. Swelling has gone down quite a bit thankfully.
Rain system coming into area soon. 52 degrees going to 56 today.

Triffids - the big hoopla over this past summer's full eclipse got me thinking about that movie.

Now that I've looked up Proof setting, I need to check our oven for it.

Mowed a bunch of maple leaves in mulch mode late yesterday. Hate to mulch them up because they are so colorful on the ground,...but they do pack together when they get wet, so wanted to beat the rain. I use to spend hours raking, but decided that they break down so well after mulching, that they are better left on the lawn. Not all have fallen, so will repeat one more time.

Randy, any car or air shows coming up soon? We had a low flying vertical take-off and landing plane fly over...I guess on the way to Fort A.P. Hill or Quantico.

Good morning all. 37 this morning with some fog going to 52 and partly sunny. Dr is coming today after lunch to see Mom. Hope he can find something that will help with mom's tiredness. Hope to get some of the extra stuff that is in the garage and load it into the trailer so I can take it to the storage unit and get my table saw here and into the shop. It is an old 70's model Craftsman with no safety stuff left. Wife wants me to get a saw stop but they are $$$$. Don't know how much I will get done but at least I will be killing two birds with one stone. Hope to actually get the car in the garage this winter.

Proof setting....... is that for making liquor? :laughing: Hope my stove don't have that feature.

Our oven has it. Samsung Induction. But maybe the warming drawer will work just a well. We very seldom use the oven. We have have a Cuisinart microwave/convection that gets used almost daily.

Mine is a 7 year old KitchenAid electric digital oven with the "Bread Proof" button/pad.
Some counter top toaster ovens have them also. You are right about the temp, the oven shows 100˚F when the "Bread Proof" pad is touched.
