EMP Prep, What would you do if you had 45 minutes to prepare?

Call my kids and tell them to get to the farm.

Run to the local grocery store and buy everything I could with a CC. I have things... but I could always use more.

Buy paper maps... which I've been putting off for a long time. Never think about it when I have the opportunity.

I agree. Our military is the best in the World at killing the enemy.

I don't know. Not sure the Bin Laden character ever existed in the way described.

I would say that the US is certainly good at killing people in general. Not that it particularly troubles me. But just sayin.

And I rarely ever met a soldier who thought things were being run well.

So, under ML, how is anything supposed to proceed? Who are the large scale supposed detainment facilities for? Everyone or just selected persons?

All the guns in the world won't do you any good, if you are taken away from your home and put in a facility under armed guard.

I wonder just how much damage would be done to generating facilities, as well as substations... Most protective relaying is somewhere around 1-1.5 cycles.

I'm not sure if a stand alone transformer would be damaged if it was disconnected at both ends... If the secondary was still connected, that would be nasty...But most industrial breakers are around 4 cycles..
