Woke up again this morning, not crying yet, I guess that’s progress. Service is tomorrow, then everyone goes home. I need the break, but the big empty house and long cold dark lonesome nights I could without.
You guys are great, thanks so much!

Forgot to start coffee brewing. 34° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 53° with afternoon rain. Fuel filter for tractor showed up yesterday. Will put it in today. Checking my records on the tractor. I have never replaced it before. 440 hours. That may seem like low hours for a 17 year old tractor. In 2002 Kubota replaced my tractor because of power steering problems. That tractor had over 500 hours of use in 3 years. By then all the big projects had been done. I had also bought the JD lawnmower. So all it gets is 20 to 30 hours of use each year. After filter change I need to cleanup tools. Haul the oil to Walmart and TSC.
Randy, thinking about you.
Ed, glad you are getting thing done in shop.
Eric, must be a very large spreader to not be handled by your tractor. Stay away from it when it spreading.
Buckeye, congrat's to your HS FB team.
Good Morning All.

53 going to 55...had a nice rain last night and another expected later today, but clear full moon out now.

Randy, good to hear from you...like Ed says, love you, brother.

Heading out with my muzzleloader now. Eric, I have to admit I have had a deer or two sneak up when I was reading.

I'm going to get the special plus a can of Silikroil. Works great on three point hitch
parts, door hinges, etc.

headed down to get a haircut, the feed store to get some grass seed, and then food shopping.
Will be good to get home and go try out my cultivator in the field. There is one area that wasn't planted, but hilled.
Good training ground for me so I don't rip up the guy's collards...

31 right now...high in the upper 40's.
Still got this damned cold...not sure if I want to do anything outside on this chilly, damp day. I do need to drop the flail mower and hook the snow blower up sometime soon.

38° this morning. Called dad last night, he's been alone in the house 16 months since my mom died. He gets lonely, so i call more often, but am way overdue for a visit. One brother is there this weekend.

Mowed the yard thursday night, but didnt do along the creek since i was short on daylight, maybe do that today. Havent been too busy since ive had some health issues. Got a lot that needs done, work never goes away.
1102171725.jpg been trying to decide if i want to keep this tree, leaves are pretty, but the trunk isnt. Down over the hill where i planted several oaks, just because i like planting trees. The little pine behind this tree is one my youngest son started in a class in gradeschool. Tomorrow's his birthday.

Good Morning!!!! 100% Precip. / 0.29 in. Rain. High 53F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Got about a half inch of rain yesterday afternoon and evening, and already have 0.42" this morning. Supposed to stop for this afternoon and tomorrow, then showers on and off for the rest of next week.

Life hasn't stopped, Randy, but you shouldn't feel pressed to make any big decisions right away, either. Take your time, and give yourself a chance to adjust. Just go easy for now, and take things one at a time, OK?

Sounds like you're gonna disturb a lotta shi! today, Eric!

It'll be nice to display all those old stringed friends up on the wall where you can see them, PJ. But now you're gonna have to play them all regularly to keep the dust off!

Speaking of dust, the spoke sets were delivered yesterday, so it's time to dust off my 48 year old wheel building skills. Need to make some measurements on the old wheels before they come apart, then make a crowfoot adapter for the spoke wrench so I can use a torque wrench for final tensioning, but otherwise I don't think this time around'll be much different than all the others. It is comforting to know that both front and rear wheels are the same, and I can use one for a pattern while reassembling the other. And it's a nice job for a warmish rainy day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...
