Thanks for the support. I’m trying to get enough strength for the funeral home appointment this morning. I was never supposed to have to do this, I was going to go first. This is soooo hard!
I can't even imagine.

Prayers for you and the family.

Is the organ maker you know from just outside staunton va? Been on a tour there and watched them pour the metal for the pipes.

No. I'm guessing that's Taylor and Boody? They are another fine organ builder, though. This offer was from KMK Pipe Organ Services out of Suffolk, VA. I was associated with them when I worked for Wicks Organ Company in Highland, IL.

It is neat to watch pipe metal being poured. At Wicks, they still did everything pretty much the same way they had for over 100 years. At least for the pipe organs, anyway. Digital organs, of course, were quite different. They are magnificent instruments (Mozart called them "The King of Instruments"). It's a shame to see that whole industry slowly fading away.

I think having a pipe organ in one's home would be beyond cool.
In a big tall living room where the pipes could go 20 feet up into the air.
Hey, no sense thinking small...
Have to be careful if you have breakables up on shelves...could vibrate
everything over the edge. Hit those low stops, make her rumble

Who needs a subwoofer when you have your own pipe organ.
And hopefully no close neighbors...

I have heard giant pipe organs in European cathedrals that literally made me shiver.
You don't even have to be into classical music, much less understanding Latin or Italian, when those huge pipe organs start singing
in enormous rooms with tall ceilings and lots of stone and glass. My pc has a nice Klipsch sound system hooked to it, with a little sub, and
once in awhile I'll search pipe organ. PJ, what model Wicks did you want to take home?

The low this morning was 34*, yesterday's high was 61*. Today's going to be in in the high 50's and party cloudy with the wind in the 20-30 mph range.

The wind was bad yesterday. A neighbor and I went up to take a camper off a another neighbors truck. You could see were trees came down across the road. Someone had been up the road and cut them up. They stopped at their driveway. Ended up having to go back and get a chain saw to make it the rest of the way up. There must have been close to 2 dozen of then down in less then a mile. Most of them were aspens and a few pines.

daugen... Your right, she is a keeper. She has had kept me around for 40 years.

Making the weekly trip to town today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.
