Good morning!!!!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 30° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 45° with cloudy skies. Got shop projects done. Shop was warm enough to work with a jacket on. It not starter up gas heater. Need to put it on list. Have not used it for several years. Chipping last of the chip pile today. Then maybe a hair cut. Need one bad.
Tried to make a order with Zenni online. Needed a little help. 30 minute wait on phone. Never talked to anyone. Drove to Sams Club. Took a 1/2 hour to order 3 pairs of glasses. 20% off for Plus members. About $100 more than Zenni. But got to talk with someone. Maybe a good thing. Because I need the bifocal set low in lense. No option on Zenni for that.
Don, glad you are feeling better. Next Wednesday we go in for our annual Flu shots.
Buppies, hope the day goes better today.
Randy, get better soon.
Good Morning All.

Ed, you are a good man, coping with so much. Hang in there. Grab that mandolin and just make some sounds...so pretty even if not really playing music. I bought my wife a dulcimer years ago that we are still "planning" to learn to play.

First coffee done. Cloudy day in Wales. She who must be obeyed wants to go shopping so that's my day planned. Maybe I'll get in some tractor time tomorrow.

Welcome Diwali. Will be nice to have a second person here who speaks proper English...
Have fun shopping. Don't forget to go past the tractor store too, fair's fair.

Another nice day here, my helper is coming today so that means a day of hard work. We have a dead tree to take down and a lot of tree trimming to do.

Just got a bit of a chill. My sister just emailed me to tell me her son bicycles over the Brooklyn Bridge each day going to work in Lower Manhattan.
Could have been him on that bike path. He stayed home yesterday for his daughter's Halloween festivities.

What ever happened to the Ten Commandments?
Sympathy and prayers for those hurt and the loved ones lost.

off to get some breakfast, avoid the speeders getting to school, and then back for my helper. Going to try to drop that dead pine tree without buying new parts
for my fence.

Thanks for posting about Zenni, Ron. Always wondered how glasses could be fit and adjusted over the Internet. Maybe it's one of those ideas that sounds good on paper (or screen), then falls apart on implementation?:confused2: Been going to Costco for my glasses for a few years now, and so far, it's been working well and saving me big bux over Lenscrafters.

I like Costco. But their scratch resistance does not seem to be as good as Walmart and Sams. Almost went to America's Best. But Sams Club is closer.

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 5:00AM. 0% Precip. / 0.00 in. Sunny. High 67F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

The schedule on the storm seems to be slipping, so we'll be able to enjoy another day or two of sunshine before winter arrives. Gutters are clean, wood and lumber piles are tarped, the wood stove is ready to go and there's firewood ready in the garage, but there's some caulking to do on the storage trailer still, and maybe another job for the bead blaster yet, so it's gonna be a busy day. Once the rain arrives Thursday night, it looks like it'll stay showery for the rest of next week.

The news people are reporting that work on Oroville Dam will be finished today, and the pictures I saw last night seem to indicate that is true. They've managed to pull the reservoir level down to thirty feet below where it started when last year's rain began, but that's forty-five feet higher than where it was in 2016 and this storm system is three weeks earlier than either of the last two years. I'm betting the folks running the dam are hoping they won't have to use that new spillway, but chances are better than ever that they will before it stops raining again next June.:confused2:

<RANT>Used to be an unwritten rule that Xmas stuff wasn't displayed in stores until Santa rode his sleigh in the Thanksgiving Day Macy's parade. Here we are on the first of November and the Xmas junk has already been on the shelves for weeks. Do people really buy Christmas decorations and presents that early, or are stores still trying to get rid of last year's inventory? Maybe if more people boycotted stores that break the "unwritten rule", the Holiday Season would go back to being something more than a crazy spending spree?</RANT> There ya go, folks, the first Bah Humbug of the season.:laughing::laughing:

Happy Hump Day, everyone...
