Don, I know how much you are attached to that doggie. Go put some big signs all over the roads. I hope you get her back soon and safe.

Yep that's in the works. We just texted about 20 people within 5 miles and an ad in paper Wednesday.

Mowd the field, mostly after dark. Deer were out watching, but too dark for pics.
Very windy tonight, and lots of rain approaching.
Hope you find whipper. I lost a dog once that ran off and we never found it.

Good evening all. 50F this morning, clear, light wind. Wind started picking up almost right away, sky remained clear, and high temp made it to 80F. Cold front already passed through, no rain :( , cooler tomorrow, warmer Thursday, Cooler (high 55F) Friday. Wind will be 15 mph+ most of this week. Bike ride this morning, picked up branches this afternoon from the thunderstorms, then burned them and checks back to '86. Cleanup around house tomorrow.

Roy welcome to Texas!

RS, good luck with your septic, we had to change over to sewers when 80% of home in my neighborhood voted to install sewer system. Then had to pay for the bill to pay the processing of my sewage :( .

Wow Don, sure know what you’re going through. Back when my Dad passed away we stayed at my brother’s in NH, in Feb 2004. our male boxer, Jack got spooked and ran off. Being a Ga dog, not the best situation. He was gone 2 weeks before he was enticed into one of those capture crates way on the other side of town. Brother said he likely lost 20 lbs. Had to make a special trip to NH to retrieve him, but boy was I glad to. He was some glad to get home and our girl boxer, Ruby, even happier. I don’t think he ever left the yard again and made the move to Hawaii with us.
Hope Whipper is home by time you read this.

too funny, reminds me of my favorite line to my wife when we went shopping at Costco in Florida, we are going broke saving money ;)

We have a retired lawyer in our cycle group and his best FREE (note that Free from a lawyer) advice was "at our age, a dollar saved is a dollar wasted" A philosophy I now live by. New car, electric mountain bike, expensive Thule bike carrier.

We are enjoying a mild start to the day, it was 13C/ 55F at 7:00 am, pretty good for the last week in October. I haven't put anti freeze in the weed wiper nozzles yet, too much faith in the forecast is going to catch me out unless I do it soon.

PJ, nicely done, you are also doing a great job of justifying every tractor implement purchased to the lady in the house ;)

Don, hope Whipper is just having a bit of an adventure and comes back of her own accord.

Randy, you need to get some better luck or your fire extinguisher will be the next thing to ignite.

58 going to 74 after a nice rain over night.

Randy, sounds like you need Don and his VFD to move in next door.

Hope Whipper is back on the prowl around your house, Don.

After bowhunting yesterday morning, took Coco for a hike on the Battlefield trail down to the river for a swim. Was standing about 5 feet from the riverbank looking at the water when pow, a hornet gave me a shot on the side of the kneecap. I've never been allergic to stings, but by the time we hiked 1.5 miles back to the truck, my knee was a mess. Still swollen and red and hot.

Did some mowing and mulching yesterday evening to beat the rain.

Good morning all, 54 this morning going to 69 and sunny. Got a lot of rain last night and the weather station says we got .01 in so I guess that is shot. Started to post last night and my wife turned on the baby monitor and the internet was shut down. Hope to get a little done on the pantry today we will see.

Don, praying that you get Wipper back soon.

PJ, now you can enjoy your renewed space. Like the pic of the dirt.

Enjoy the day. Ed

As we get older our bodies change and old allergys can disappear and new ones come on. Hopefully the bee sting gets better. This year has really been bad for me nose runs constantly

Drinking first cup of coffee. 46° with light rain this morning. Heading to 52° with off and on rain all day. Never got as much rain as forecast. That's OK no flooding. Tire is still on tractor. Going to get it off today. Not much else planned for today.
Don, hope Whipper is back home/soon.
Good Morning All.

Lot going on, best wishes for Whipper to be found today, Billy's knee to stop swelling, and for everyone to get the rain they need.
Happily the weather station says .9 inches came last night as the system is clearing out right now. That will take care of a lot of grass seed down nicely.
We are still at about a third of normal rain for the month.

Going to work on the carryall again this morning, ran out of bolts, miscounted by a few, and maybe get that finished today.
First a trip downtown to go back to Lowes for some more Cherry Gloss paint.
As I've mentioned before, I am awash in the wrong color red rattle cans. But happily, oh so happily, at least the Cherry Gloss I bought to replace the Gravely paint,
which was too far off, turned out to be an almost perfect match for Massey Red. So I used the wrong paint for the Gravely to paint the new little Massey and it worked out great.

Well, not true. I really botched the paint job. I guess I recovered in the wrong time period, and now I have what looks like a cracked glass finish. sigh. Doesn't even look good from five feet out, my performance parameter :)rolleyes:) though it's perfectly well painted and protected. Not sure whether I want to leave it looking like "working tractor" or really make it look nice.
Since I just ordered a small cultivator from Everything Attachments to pull behind it and weed my neighbor's weeds (being the terrible neighbor that I am...) so his fields of collards aren't overgrown, I'm not sure I'm going to make it look nicer.

Christmas decorations going up in stores. Always a jarring sight to me. Remember when you had to get past Thanksgiving first? Now you don't make it to Halloween any more before the xmas festivities start. Actually it's often so much work putting up lights and stuff that I can see wanting to get some additional time out of it.

I buy all my bolts, nuts and washers from TSC or Rural King. By the pound is way cheaper than 2 screws from Lowes. Lowes and TSC are stocked/supplied by the same company.

Perhaps there is something you can get to filter out the problem signal
