Good morning!!!!

Good morning! 69˚ heading to 90˚. Yesterday, while driving in Caldwell TX I got to see what they did with all the parts of the chicken that you don't eat. The thousands of gallons of chicken parts are loaded in a large open bedded truck with a tarp on top. That seems ok until the truck has a sudden stop and all the chicken parts slosh to the front. The driver gets slimed.

Whipper would have been rolling all over the ground.

My Windows 10 computer screen looks almost the same as my 7 screen. If you have not done it. Left click on left side of bottom toolbar. Click on Desktop. Gets rid of all them silly Windows Boxes.

Haven't even pulled the PC out of the box (except to check for damage). I'll take your comments under advisement

60 going to 84 today in what looks like nice weather.

I can only imagine how bad that chicken truck must have smelled after a few hours in the blazing sun

Good morning all. 54 going to 76 with a slight chance of showers. Wife and I are talking about taking in my mom again. She is 93 and in pretty good health for her age. She has been in assisted living 88 miles from here and her $$$ are about gone. Will be hard with both her and the boy but we know it is the right thing to do. Just have to get past the stress of stepping into it. Don't know what I will get into today.

Don, Was that the McDonalds that makes chicken McNugets?

Praying for those dealing with the past hurricanes.

Buckeye, Praying for your back.

Have a great day. Ed

Buckeye, hope you are feeling much better this morning.

if you are in to astronomy, the Cassini probe is going to hit Saturn around 8am EST, half an hour from now.
Lots of interesting NASA video being shown online now.

Are you sure that truck wasn't headed to the McNugget Factory?

with a tarp over the top? Well, who cares about refrigeration? It's All Natural for sure.

worse is I bet the fire company had to stick around to do the final hose down.
they'd probably have to hose Whipper down too.

Some dog food factory will be a little low on production this week.

Actually happens quite often around poultry plants. Although it's been a few years here. That looked like a standard dump bed. Around here the trailers look more like box vans with a tarp. Probably a live floor. They've had a few turn over but most spills here have been from a tailgate malfunction and the latches are dropped.

That stuff is as slick as a greased door knob. Be careful around those spill sites.

Since I moved to NC the local Food Lion has been selling bananas for 57 cents a pound. Never changes, ever.
And i doubt that bananas are getting cheaper to harvest or less expensive to grow.
And the frozen chicken breasts have been $1.99 a pound. Never changes.
Well...now they are $2.49 this past week.
Probably a supply/distribution issue mostly, I bet it goes back down.
But I hope it doesn't.
Farmer needs to get paid more for his chickens.
Like to eat? Thank a farmer.

Now if only veggie burgers didn't cost more than hamburger.
Something seems off there. Probably a volume issue but
my gut instinct tells me the veggie ingredients have to be cheaper to raise
than an Angus cow.
We need more competition in the organic aisle.

60°F and some spotty fog this morning, going up to 91° today.

Electrician is coming today and tomorrow to finish the electrical work on the house. Going to disconnect the mains and install the new breaker box and sub panel. After that, he'll finish installing the new outlets and coverplates, and then he's done! After this weekend, we can get the carpenter to come back and finish his work. We'll do all the painting, then new carpet and vinyl for the basement will be installed by a local store. At that point, the house remodel is complete. Finally.

STL area is a little extra tense this morning awaiting the announcement of a verdict in a trial where a local cop was accused of murder and planting evidence (gun). Several groups have been threatening "civil disobedience" and even violence if anything other than a guilty verdict is reached. Trial by judge, and he is expected to make the announcement today.

The low this morning was 42* warmer than I thought it would be. Yesterday's high was 67*. We got some good rain and it's still raining off and on. It's only going to be in the mid 50's for a high today.

Not sure what I'll do today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good morning , started off as a foggy day at 5:50 but since then the sun has come out with bright blue sky's 70 degrees.
Catching up on the news with second coffee wondering what's wrong with people today another bomb in London, seems like life means nothing to some. I guess there has always been violence I have seen plenty over the years just getting worse with more publicity.
PJ isn't remodeling a pleasure lol, putting on an addition and remodel as well, a 300 sq ft addition is costing more than my first house!!! The wife said this is the last home ( on the lake) she is planning on moving me there, and she is doing everything the way she wants this includes a shower that is big enough to have a dance. She is happy for now 😀 and occupied

This stuff is the parts of the chicken that don't even make the cut to be made into the pink stuff that chicken nuggets are made of. A lot of feet, beaks, innards, etc . . . .

We should be living on the same street. We could work on the tractor together and put our mothers in a little house down the street and alternate taking them meals.

Yeah, we've spent a tidy sum on this one as well (about three times what it cost her Grandfather to build it in 1970), but it was a lot of stuff that just needed to be done. This is our last home, too, David. That's what helped us decide that we wanted to go ahead and invest in it. She's loving the changes we've made ... and in the end, isn't that what it's really about?

70°F and no rain

Off to Hilotown, breakfast with wife and errands.

Be safe
Have a great day

This is our last home, too,

If you live to a ripe old age you will need a lot of assistance as many of our parents are going through now. If you have everything in place: your meals, baths, all maintenance, and all transportation by others, maybe, otherwise I would only go as far as saying this is our last "active senior living" home.

Since I moved to NC the local Food Lion has been selling bananas for 57 cents a pound. Never changes, ever.

My wife eats a banana EVERY morning, and they've been 48 cents a pound at Walmart for quite a few years, but at one of the Walmart Neighborhood Markets earlier this week, I got them for 29 cents a pound.

72 degrees this morning, going for 96 (85 at the moment). I figure my shoulder replacement has healed enough for me to get back to doing the things I normally do. So this morning I mowed, edged, and trimmed our own yard and one neighbor's yard. Didn't actually hurt me, but I'm sure tired and sore; haven't been doing much work since the shoulder replacement on April 24.

this is our last "active senior living" home.

Don, I know a lot of our members have stayed in the same home, or at least same area for most of their lives. I'm the other way around. I changed schools 11 times in 12 years when I was a kid, although I went to 3 of those schools twice. And my wife and I have lived in 3 apartments and have owned 6 homes besides spending 6 years full time RVing in 2 different RVs. So now . . . . . . today is the 12th anniversary of our purchase of our current home, so we've been in our current home now longer than either of us every lived in the same place in our lives.

And we expect to be here until we either die or our kids put us in a nursing home.
