Got the tractor and shredder loaded up. Have some more mowing to do in the am about an hour away. Backed the batwing on and it looks much better. I'll see how it rides this way

That's an awesome rig and load out!

You may want to put a black tarp over that big dual lid grapple, the grapple police with getcha for excess capacity! I just got word today that my dual lid is on its way!!

Haha. I'm taking island tractors advise and going with a small grapple on a big tractor to maximize my lift capacity. That was the one for my 5055e, the original wicked grapple for compact tractor. So far it's holding up to 100hp but I really wish it could take a bigger bite. It's a great product and your gonna love your new grapple.

By a bigger bite, do you mean lids that open wider, or ?. What's the advertised lift capacity of that tractor? It looks like a beast.

Thanks!! From all the postings and video's I've been looking at all the things I can get done with it plus a couple different ideas I want to try out with it.

Of course larger opening would be great but one that is a little deeper too. I think those two things would go hand in hand. My current one is at home on a 30-40hp compact tractor and balances the size and weight perfectly. EA didn't make a utility tractor grapple until a while after I had mine. It works great but things would be sped up by having one sized to the tractor. In the mean time, this thing saves me a ton of work and has paid for it self many times over. I let a guy use it for his mx5200 and it was a perfect match. Really tried to sell it to him. As it sits, there's nothing wrong with it other than I wish it could hold a little more brush.

Lift at full height at the pins is 3700, at 59" it's 5k

Got the truck back from the dealer and she runs like a champ again. One injector replaced. No questions or accusations of bad fuel. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

Good deal. Was wondering. Did they have a loaner for you?

I didn't even ask. I also have a 2016 duramax 2500 and just drove it around while the 450 was in the shop.

Generally a loaner isn't part of the standard warranty. If you opt for the "Ford Premium Care" warranty at an additional cost, then loaners are provided.

My wife's 13 f250 has been in the shop 5 or 6 times for the backup camera. They have had it for over 3 months so far. We've been given rentals every time. A couple enterprise edges and platinum explores now the dealer loans their own cars out. We have had a brand new edge and now and ecoboost f150. That thing flys. Logged about 6k on their cars so far. We've had enough and I'm ordering her something new on Thursday but it has been nice always getting decent rentals instead of those tiny compact cars. Don't fit in them very well

Looks good. **** of a setup. That tractor just must be heavy, but I think that's the way to load it.

Thanks. Ended up running about 130 miles loaded today. Truck does great, tranny runs pretty warm on the highway which was surprising at about 230-235. Would hold 65 and very seldom have to down shift. Had a decent head wind and mileage was pretty bad but considering we're around 37-38k lbs I'm very happy with it. Nice being able to sit back and just steer.

Backing it one was for sure the way it'll be done from now on. Had a near miss the first time I tried and the tractor almost slid off the trailer however, I've got it down to a science. Dropped the tractor off at the dealer when I was done mowing and they will have it for about a week again. Already getting old and like déjà vu

Spent yesterday morning putting a Ready Lift 2.5" leveling kit in my 17 F350. It got rid of the nose dive look to the front of the truck. I have just over 1,000 miles on it now and so far I'm impressed with it over all. Average is 18.4 mpg with 70% being highway driving. 2 things I like better about my 15 Platinum was 1.. the wood steering wheel , and I think the old style seats may have been just a bit bigger and more comfortable. Kind of in a lazy boy recliner way as apposed to a sport seat like the new truck has.

What kind of tranny temps are you guys seeing? MPG hwy empty?

I'm seeing around 200-210 IIRC towing my 9k lb fifth wheel. MPG is about 10.5-11 towing, 15 empty with city/highway mix and around 17-20 highway empty depending on speed. We just took a 2500 mile trip, of which 2000 miles were towing, and averaged 11.8 MPG over the entire trip.

Are you in the artic? Driving 80 mph today on flat ground cruise set mine was at 235. No trailer. My truck is a 450 and has a flatbed so it is probably close to 10 k empty with the weight of the bed, air compressor, transfer tank, etc.

MPG I see are around 14 empty - again heavy truck.

No, not in the arctic, central MO here.

But, I think I mis-spoke. I'll have to look at my gauges again the next time I tow. Those numbers I quoted were engine oil and coolant temps.
