It's a frame mount apparently. I was wondering if you can raise, lower, and angle the blade hydraulically. The tractor I'm getting does not have a quick attach mounting, and it wouldn't make sense for me to go that route.

Thank you,
Joe

Hard to tell for sure with that photo and without a part number, however if it is like my Kubota snow blade it does.

My snow blade connects to the frame using two pins and some bolts that wedge the slack out.

It connects to the FEL valve. You can raise/lower and angle the blade left/right to discharge on the left or right. You can't rotate to change levelness.

Thanks RJ,

How does it work with snow? And does it have adjustable shoes on the back side?

Thanks again,
Joe

I built one similar to that and it works great in snow! I do have to run tire chains to push uphill well.

I have similar blade for L3940. Works great in snow if you have ballast on 3 point. Never used it in dirt. Philip.

Thanks for that info. I assumed (I know) that the plow mounted to the plate on the front of the tractor. I had no idea that the frame was such a substantial piece of hardware. How difficult is that to mount and dismount?

Thanks, Joe

Use FEL hydraulic control to raise and lower to assist putting it on. 2 big pins in front, 2 medium size pins mid mount, those are pretty easy. The hardest part is lining up the drawbar, sometimes you have to kick rear of frame to one side or the other. Not too bad, 10-15 minutes as it lays there in the dirt, if done on concrete floor, little quicker. Once I put it on in winter, I rarely take it off until spring. Philip.

Just looking at it, I didn't think it would be a quick connect. :) Thanks Philip

Those blades are designed for snow and skid shoes are an option. They do not recommend using the blade as a dozer, on moving light weight material. I have the mounting kit but not the blade (got it at a bargain on speculation). The same frame mount is used for the rotary brush and I think the front mounted snow blower as there is a PTO kit from the MMM that is another kit. Some day I may by the blade ($$$). The blade is available with either manual or hydraulic angling.
