50 right now...mid-70's will be the high.

Chores:
Dump Run (get diesel and gasoline on the way back)
Trim weeds while there's still a bit or dew (keeps the dust down)
Grease tractor, mower and ZTR
Finish mowing the field
If I feel motivated, I'll get all this done today

Most is done...didn't do the weed trimming, but I did mow both the field and half the lawn...
Beer time started at 1600.

Hot today? Nah! Was 104 at 4 pm. I was hoping you'd keep the 100+ up in your area but, now 3 days in a row of 100+ here.

104˚ here today also but at 8:00 P.M. is was down to 100˚ so I took 2 mile walk. I had to get out I was getting cabin fever.

Good evening all. Now I know Ed is the only on actually reading my posts, as he is the only one who caught my typo. :D Yesterday and today had same starting temp 81F, cloudy this morning and broke up this afternoon. No rain overnight, although might rain Tuesday through Thursday. Today's high was a mere 95F, and low 90's for most of the forecast period. Bike ride went well this morning group had 8 for initial turnout, and 4 made it till 11AM. Just read after nap.

Just thought you had a big temperature swing.

Oh, I saw the typo. I can't remember the last time it was 8˚F in Texas (even in February) so I figured 80. Not bad only off 1˚.

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 55° with some clear skies this morning. Heading to 85° with sunny skies. Lawn is cut. Decided to repair front tire on tractor myself. 2 hours later I had tube repaired and back on tractor. Why I do this kind of repair is beyond my thought process. $10 and local repair shop does it in about 15 minutes. I did put a patch on tube and saved new inner tube for next time. While cutting lawn noticed there was no water flowing down waterfalls in garden pond. Pump had died. Replaced with spare i have. Need to tear old one apart to see if can be repaired. My platform step ladder is in at Lowes. Need to pick that up. Then it's a rest day with some NASCAR in afternoon. I hope.
Don, showed my wife your canning finds. Her comment. "Good for you." I guess that means even if I put a garden in next year there will be no canning. We still have a 2 burner gas unit. It's got to be a antique. Has single porcelain valves to adjust gas flow. We did 8 to 10 bushels of tomatoes each year. But not anymore.
Hope all thinking about Induction like it as much as we do.
Good Morning All.

Yesterday, before our evening meal, I did something I have been wanting to do for months. I put a lighted match to a few crumpled sheets of newspaper alongside 8 round bales that had only a few hours earlier stolen the once invisible edge from my pocket knife as I fought at arms length to extricate the foul contents from their tatty black plastic wrap . It would have been a waste if they had been anywhere near their "best before" consumption date, but these were well past that, no longer fit for any beast and only a connoisseur of fungi who had lost the ability to smell could have appreciated the contents.

It would be a bit of an understatement to say that by the time I had finished, I stank a bit too and even after a generous helping of my wife's fruity pink shower gel, my nostrils were still not quite convinced that the odor had gone. Hoping now for a less stinky Sunday
