I thought Yugo's were the economy versions of Le Car. Just kidding. Remember those. Built by Renault. Haven't seen one on the roads since the early 90's.View attachment 513832

My cousin had a Renault and I was surprised at how comfortable it was all around.. seating and ride... hers was a Diesel and lots of torque.

Never thought much about French cars but in Europe they have a good reputation for ride comfort.

Found this on the web - don't know when or where, but it definitely qualifies on this thread:

I'll nominate myself for a second time in here. I towed over my truck's capacity. I'm guessing this is about 12000lbs strapped to the back of my F150...

Handled it fine...

A weight distribution hitch would be a good idea with that rig.
I use a 14,000# rated Equal-i-zer (brand) weight distribution hitch, when towing over 10,000#

I realize the benefits of the WDH systems, but I generally keep my loads much smaller and well balanced and haven't had a huge need. I've never towed as much as I did today and likely won't again, it was a rare need. That image really doesn't do the stance much justice, the front tires of the truck were up on a bit of a hump in the ground. Overall the rear of the truck only sat about an inch lower than the front and the trailer was very close to level.

Are you kidding ? Renault seats are like tube frames with some cloth pulled over it, they give no support what so ever. Together with the steering wheel being too close to the pedals and non adjustable, a tall person is broken after an hour ride in a French car.

They build good motors though. Volvo used them in their smaller cars. Just without the notoriously unreliable Renault electronics, so in Volvos they did a quite reliable job.

Exactly!

Hopefully he/she is headed to a GOOD home- in contrast to wherever the person carting it had it.

He's just taking the horse to Papa Johns for lunch. Do you not see the sign in the background?

If not for the overloaded truck that picture would make a pretty puzzle. Nice looking rig too
