How do you store your grease gun

I turn the hose back into the small hole on top of the gun and it hangs on a nail on a center post under the barn. Its a grease gun its supposed to be dirty and grimey when you use it .

Years ago Orscheln (our better local tractor and farm supply) sold a plastic bracket made just for this, screwed to the wall, had a clip similar in design to a broom on wall clamp and a ledge at the bottom to support the weight, so I picked up a couple. Now, my gun is always where I left it, and yes if it drips, well the floor under it doesn't matter any. I've looked for them recently, but haven't found them as I want one more for another location.

All the greasers go in a five gallon pail. Handles out, Saw dust in the bottom.

Keeps everything clean and dry.

From time to time, the saturated saw shavings go into the wood stove.

I store mine on a hook with a magnet holding the hose tip up, a rag around the hinge and a brown jersey glove on the bottom.

That sounds like a clean and simple solution to me.

Maybe not... I don't honestly know, as I do not consider myself to be a lubrication specialist.
.....but, the grease recommended by my dealer, who covers my warranty work, will drip from the grease gun if left hanging in the shed in the summertime..

As an experiment, a friend kept a tube of TRC grease on the dash of his vehicle all one summer without one trace of leaked oil and no trace of oil separation when he took the cap off either. Seen it with my own eyes.

Tractor Supply has a wall mounted clip type holder for about $7 -- no ledge or anything, just a clip.

I picked up a cheap plastic tool box and keep all greasing tools/accessories in there. The lid keeps the dirt/dust out and lets me know that whenever I open said lid, I'm in for a messy job!

I built this and add a little oil dry to each tube.
