I was at large ag dealer the other day that happened to carry Kubota and used to carry Kioti. I noticed he had an L39xx, a consideration of mine in hindsight as I'd owned both a Kubota lawn tractor and a BX series sub-compact in the past. I had to take a closer look to compare to my CT235. I must say I wasn't overly impressed with the cab layout but it wasn't until I looked at the 3PH that I realized how scrawny it looked. For a tractor near 40hp it's lower support arms must be half the thickness of the CT, attached to immensely inconvenient turnbuckles for sway control (I'm constantly switching implements from FM, BB, Spryr, lawn rake and I need the convenience of pulling a chain linked pin out of nestled square tubes to control the span among with, oh yeah, extendable link ends. It didn't have those either. Nor the manually operated extendable cylinder on one side to control tilt. It simply looked so naked and scrawny that had the scenario been reversed and I was looking at the rear end of a CT 5hp less than a Kubota I'd invested in, I'd have been really disappointed. Not to mention the seat on the CT, of which there is no comparison. I think the caveat was that when I mentioned to the chap from the dealership that was helping me load a Claas Jaguar Forrager some of my observations, he mentioned that they were carrying Kioti before and that in many ways the Kioti had superior characteristics.
So stay thirsty my friends. The hot summer is only begun!
