Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. I'm lucky that the first rain in a long while has fallen. Tanks that collect water off the barn roof were almost empty, so it was perfect timing and saved me having to go collect water from the pond. If the lambs were a little bigger I would simply let the sheep in the dry field walk into the top pond themselves, however there is a gate up there by the road and some of them are so small, they could crawl underneath.

PJ When your subscription to the Siriusly Sinatra channel was about to die, did Frank sing "And now the end it near ..." ? :)

Good morning here in SE Oklahoma. 59 degrees and that moon is full on shining at 3:30 am. Couldn't sleep for a bit.
Ran the flail mower for a bit today on some stuff that I'd cleaned up last year with a rotary cutter. Lot less drama on the rocky parts than the brush hog was. Then some grapple time cleaning up some of the underbrush. No good reason to do it other than a pretty day to be down in the woods.
I managed to do something to my finger yesterday that I still haven't figured out. Disconnecting the flail mower, I reached down and hooked a finger to pull the ring on the lock pin for one of the lift arms like we do all the time. When I applied pressure right at the knuckle joint it felt like something shocked me! Hard! I looked closed for a wasp, bee,or scorpion which I doubt on that little ring without me seeing but nothing. Any ways, the weird part is the whole end of the finger from that joint out is now numb. Been that way all night and still is numb now. Strange. Wife thinks maybe I pinched a nerve. No swelling though or pain.
Today looks like just a repeat of yesterday with general chores. Wife's new windows and doors are completed and with good screens now she has the windows open. So I'm not allowed to do dirtwork near the house due to the dust.

55 going to 71. Hit mid 80s yesterday again.

PJ, I have the Sinatra channel programmed on one my presets, too. Along with Bluegrass Junction, Willie's Roadhouse and The Joint...how is that for a mix?

Lenny, that deck looks like the place to be this morning with a cup of coffee.

Got some good seat time yesterday...pulling up some old cedar fence posts and taking them to the brush pile I am building for the rabbits. Had to dispatch 21 carpenter bees while doing this job...they bore into these cedar posts like crazy (I guess they like "cedar-lined closets" as much as the rafters in my barn). Then relocating a pile of usable cedar posts...then using the bucket to scoop most of the last of the horse manure compost to move it to the garden and till it. The remaining cleared area will become a new flower garden for my wife...so I left some compost for the plants that I need to relocate there today.

Morning all!

I'm looking at a NEW Toro 50" Timecutter ZTR vs. a used 2012 Gravely 48" ZTHD...

Other than that typicall overloaded day with far too many things to get done in way too few hours. God is not finished with me I hope...

Be well all,
David

22 and going to 52 today. Wind NNE 6 mph. It is gonna be a good day.

I got yesterdays' running around done. Whip out to the place where I load asphalt and drop my trailer, back into the optometrists' place, he is downtown and there is barely enough room for the Jeep let alone the trailer too. Got the new specs.
I stopped into the place where I got my cell phone and they closed up, so now I will wait until the ed of the month to get the new ISP at the mall.
Went back out the pick up the trailer and then back into the outskirts to get the SUV shelter.
All this was done before noon. I was back home at 12:30 and it is a 40 mile trip to the city. This is the closest city to me, not the 'big smoke' (Toronto).

Today I am going to order some more wood for the Jeep garage. I will put an extension on the floor to make it 16' wide up from the 12' it is now. The new shelters' floor is 13'x20'. The shelter is going to be anchored to the floor and the floor anchored to the ground.

55 outside this AM. Yet more yard work on order now that the sun is up. Got to dust off the pool cover from all the pollen. May wash a car today or not.

wngsprd - I usually have a tennis racket handy around my equipment sheds this time of year for the bees. Now if someone saw me from a distance running around with a tennis racket, swinging at a wild pace, well...LOL....

Have a great day all, be safe!
