David in Connecticut/DABSGT, Eric had it right, more projects. Don't you need a pond somewhere?...or a food plot for critters, or...
David in Virginia, MFW, waved to you again a week ago at your exit on 95. Glad you are doing well.
David in Hawaii, may all your days be sunny. And if like David in CT you ever get bored, I saw this on a boat MLS and thought of you, what a hoot, how would you like
to drive this thing in retirement? On sale likely near Oahu.

other than watering some trees, a doc visit, then just packing the rv today and going out to dinner tonight.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 60° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 82° with sunny skies. Last days of our winter stay in AZ are here. Very quiet with most of the snowbirds having left for the year. Good time to enjoy patio time without interruptions.
Good Morning All.

50 going to 81. riptides, why are you so colder up there than here?

Wish I knew, very odd these past few days as the phoneapp and local weather have all correlated this cold spot over us.

I noticed this AM, the grass had a crunch to it. I am out in the middle of cow pastures, and without clouds the last few days, well it gets cold fast.

Worked too hard this past weekend. I finished framing the front door area (see pic). Too much climbing up and down the ladder for this old body. My knees are killing me.

I also planted a couple pecan trees. Hopefully some day some ones will enjoy their nuts.

Have a great day everybody.

Riptide, do you live in a valley or swale? Often times they are colder at night. Had a big frost yesterday, 52 this morning, headed for around 80. Got a little sunburn Saturday at the car show, I should know better.

Looks great! How will it be finished? Like it is on the old one or something different?

Thanks for the compliment.

I'm not sure about the finish. I'm thinking Hardie panel or stucco. It will stand out but that's OK. All this work is necessary because the architect recessed the door in two feet too far and I didn't catch it in time during original construction. Which would have been OK except for the reason that I enclosed the downstairs area and any leak through at the front door goes right into the ceiling down stair. With this one I plan to finish the floor much like a shower floor with pvc liners to make sure no water can seep through.

Architects, especially younger ones, get hung up on style and lose sight of function sometimes. I'll tell the story of a building we built to house several businesses sometime.
