Publishers clearing house big dollar give away has been going on for years. Now its win $5000 dollars a week for life. I remember getting ready to mail my letter about 30 years ago and realized I would be on a Navy ship in the middle of the Indian ocean on Jan and no one was going to knock on my door to hand me a check for 10 million dollars. Is this some kind of scam or the real deal. This has been going on for well over 30 years.

I seem to recall the fine print in those that the payout is over a 20 year period. The 10 million dollar check shown on ads is just for show. Still I don't know how they do it, no purchase necessary and a few people that do pick up a few periodicals cant make that kind of money.

They are selling data to the folks they are direct marketers for. They collect millions of dollars worth of marketing and demographic data every year. Imagine constant contact on steroids. According to their site they have annual revenue in the $750M range.

The advertising and mailing budget is a heck of a lot more than the giveaway. Whether it be the 10 Mil over 20 years or the 5000 weekly. Which is an easy for them payout, just set aside 5 mil annually in an annuity or some other investment and let it pay out. It takes giving away small money to make big money. And 5000 weekly is SMALL money.

If I win.....the wife is getting some flowers and I am getting a new tractor and pick-up. If she wins......I will put her flowers in my new pick up as we drive to the tractor dealer. I think it's a win...win!!!:thumbsup:

And money supposedly doesn't buy happiness, but I can assure you I would be jumping up and down with a sheet arse grin on my face if I won. Pretty sure the wife would be smiling too. Debts paid, could retire, lower stress level. A win, win, wine situation! :boat::fishing::tractor:
