I watched 10x's trying to see where that tire came from...

That version seems to be firewalled but I saw an earlier version where it's clear that the spare tire was originally mounted above and in front of the left fender before it fell off. Also the spool bounced around some and came to a stop without hurting anyone - I can't view this version so I don't know if that's obvious now.

It looks like the towing vehicle driver sideswiped the center divider ripping the trailer's spare off - as he watched the spool get away.

But the trailer is going the same dirction as the spool. Did the spool jump the guard rail already? Jon

I'm guessing that the spool flanges were manufactured from the dreaded recycled pallets? Escape was pre-destined.

It appeared to me that the trailer guy must have slowed down because he seemed to speed up and pull away from the rolling spool.

I am close to using up the last of a spool of red-jacketed 14 gauge solid wire that must have fallen off an electrician's truck. I found it about 10 years ago. Just sitting by the road, damaged from the fall and rolling, but perfectly usable. No way to trace the owner, so....
