OK I've finally got one to add when we picked up a new SWT Skandic today.. These constitute all our tow machines. UTV and ATV of course get pods for winter operations.

I won't be using all the power a lot, but its nice to have it when I want it.
Just got it this weekend so I've only driven it once so far.
Power feels pretty good.
I did have a long open backroad with no houses on my ride, so I did put the throttle down to see what it's got.
Accelerates pretty hard, got around 70 MPH out of it. So that's good enough for me.

70 is moving in that short wheel base- but they are a TON of fun if you can get them out in the sand where you can put the power to use!

We use our new Viking for about the same purposes.We have a local breeder of Setters that are from the Grouse Ridge line;so we see quite a few of those.We are changing over from English Pointers to German Short-hairs.Both breeds are good bird finders but the GSP's are better retrievers and they like the water.

I've trained a lot of pointers and shorthairs in my lifetime. You are 100% right, the shorthairs are much more versatile.
I have a setter competing on the major horseback shooting dog circuit. She will run in the Georgia Championship next week. An expensive game!!

I didn't realize the trees looked that good until after I took the picture. The big yellow one is a maple.

Small world;Styles is a good friend.Helped us with some of our dogs.He comes to my place with a load of setters a couple times a year.

Here is a few more snow photos with UTV's in them. (sorta) The 1st one is a pedestrian bridge we installed this summer with our defender. Next one is that same bridge today. Last one is plain ol work. We've rolled over the 100" mark here....
