Anything on the bucket list for the new year?

Leftover from last year is cleaning out the barns of stuff I will never use, building an 8' x 12' garden shed for the wife and redoing all the household things that start to go bad in a 20 year old house. Water softener, flex sink lines, faucets, door locks, etc.

Plus, I want to sell my L4300 Kubota and a couple small pieces of equipment I'll never use.

When it gets warm enough: Clean and sand and stain both large decks, replace the 80 feet of vinyl guttering on two parts of the house, replace one section of a 6' Anderson sliding patio door, replace front brakes on my GMC and the rear brakes on my Saturn, get my bad knees replaced one at a time and have cataract operations done on both eyes...I could go on and on but out of consideration I will not.

We are buying a house in a different state and will be preparing it for our move.

Might not be a typical bucket list thing, but it's a big change.

A variety of reasons, some family related, some climatological, some visual, some economic, some cultural.

i'm tired of long winters, but don't mind a crisp cold morning. Love the rolling terrain of the Hudson Valley and look forward to living in the foothills.

The socio-political culture of the Northeast is continually more worrysome and burdening.

If it weren't so God-awful expensive to live here in the Vampire State we probably would stay. The Northeast is diverse and beautiful in so many ways.

There's less expensive places than NC, but we think the Tarheel State has a lot to offer.

I left NY state 45 years ago over tax issues and never looked back. Left New England for the same social-political thing you mention later on. When I visit NY State, too many rural people look like they are hanging by a thread and a lot of property looks in disrepair. I feel a little awkward being there but they could leave as well. People gravitate to where they are treated best.

Traveling to Central NY and the Leatherstocking region is flat depressing. It's like the Agricultural Rust Belt.

Add to my list buying and restoring a few old farm implements that I can clean and repaint to look nearly new.

Not necessarily in any order;
lose 40 lbs (back down to 220)
Change oil in both tractor and Jeep
get 6 loads of pit run and spread same
get and erect new SUV garage (to replace Jeep garage-in-a-box)
get new chains for the rear of tractor
pay down the line of credit and credit cards
put a straight pipe/stack on tractor
