Do you also wonder if water flows downhill?

These Hollywood types are some sad people. There are very few of them that have their heads on straight. :(
True to a point. If you take the time to read about both mother and daughter, these were two fine people in spite of their personal issues.

I've never watched a Star Wars movie. Did I miss anything important?
Even though 1975 was forty one years ago, I can still remember the audience cheering at the end of the first Star Wars movie. No cell phones, no "first person narrative", just an enthralled group of people. Perhaps the movie was the lift the country needed at the time. Guess you had to be there?

Uh......movie release date for Star Wars Episode IV was May 25, 1977. I remember, as I was in A&P School in Houston and drove to Texas A&M campus to see it with a date.
hugs, Brandi

I remember my first Star Wars viewing in 1977, I went to see it by myself and did not think much about it, just some stupid movie to go see on my day off, so I arrived 10 minutes late during the scene where R2D2 and C3PO were in the Jawa's "sand crawler" In another 10 minutes I was on the edge of my seat I was so enthralled by this movie. I wound up taking girl friends back to go see it again, and again...I was really impressed. The CGI was so much better than the usual fare for the day it wasn't even funny.. Sure it looks dated now, but this was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

I took my girls, 10 and 14. We loved it; it was an old fashioned good guys vs. bad guys shoot em up!

I saw the first one back in '77. It was OK, special effects were kind of cool. Never bothered with any of the sequels. Not really into science fiction.
My wife, OTOH hasn't missed one.

My wife and I saw it in Pensacola where I was stationed in the Navy. I still remember turning to her after the movie ended and saying that so many of these people in here are "treckies" and grew up on Star Trek. Why don't they make a new Star Trek movie? These people would love it. Wasn't too long after that there was a new Star trek movie put out.
