4:30am - Wake up. Not sure why. Start thinking of all the projects I want to work on. Think till 5.

5:30am - Shower took, coffee made. 27 degrees. Temp low, but spirits high.

6:00am - Go outside.

6:03am - Go back inside.

6:05am - Check weather. Hang out on TBN.

6:30am - Little boy wakes up. Pigs n a blanket & chocolate milk. Play dinosaurs & tiger, his rules.

7:00am - Brother shows up to check feeder. Talk.

7:30am - Am I ever gonna get started?

8:00am - Fresh cup of coffee. Head outside. 32 degrees. Temp rising, spirits moderate.

8:05am
Tractor tire low. Plug in air compressor. Weird sound. Air compressor needs oil. Locate oil, add.

8:15am - Air compressor did not need oil. Sprayed excess all over carport.

8:30am - Clean up mess. Drag air hose to tractor. 4 feet short. Idea: move tractor 4 feet closer.

8:45am - Jehovah's Witnesses show up.

9:00am - Back at it. Start tractor. Correction: attempt to start tractor. Battery is drained from cold temps.

9:15am - Pull truck up to tractor. Find jumper cables. Found. Realize they're broken.

9:30am - Find other set of jumper cables. Good ones.

9:45am - Hook up cables. Correction: attempt to hook up. Loader is preventing hood from being raised. Try to be a contortionist, unsuccessful.

10:00am - Back inside. Talk. Wife is leaving to go shopping. Gave her all of my money.

10:20am - Post to TBN.

10:37am - What was I going to do today?

About those trickle charges on tractors that set for a while.......I believe they are a good idea.. I have solar ones on each of mine as there is no AC power in their barns.

Someone once said: "If it has **** or wheels, you are going to have trouble with it!"

Now that was funny, I have had days like that but there getting rarer, I have just now started to get kinks worked out.

Hood does not go up on mine with loader blocking it. Go to the starter and ground to metal on tractor. Jump or charge as usual. Have bought all the cable and fittings for a electric forklift battery hook-up, just a project that has not moved to the front of the list.

So you were able to get rid of said Jehovah's witnesses in 15min or less? Well done sir...well done!

8:45am - Jehovah's Witnesses show up.

I don't have this problem anymore. Last time 2 came by I invited them into the house and I would not let them leave until 2 hours later. I think they went back to the group and they put a BIG "X" on my address for future visits.

I have found that if you remove your pants during a conversation while never breaking eye contact tends to send a polite unspoken request to leave.

This also works well for Mormons too.

Maybe the JWs in my area just aren't as diligent. I've never found myself trapped in a lengthy conversation with them. I've never been rude. Just politely direct.

I have never had problems with JW leaving when asked. Just be polite and tell them no thank you. They will be on their way.

Lol. Can't picture you "being rude", Richard.

Here's the view from my front door. No intercom, no J W's, no bottle drives, no relatives.......no problems.
