I am guessing that most don't know where Nisula Michigan is and thus my user name In Da Sticks. Actually it's in the beautiful U.P. of Michigan. Maybe there are a few other Yoopers here on TBN? Been lurking in da bush for a bit as I have been debating pulling that proverbial trigger and purchasing a tractor. Leaning hard toward a Kioti CK2610. Really looking forward to continued reading here and occasionally chiming in. Can't say how impressed I have been with the TBN site as I gather info to make my purchase.

Though resident in Florida, quite often I ask my wife in the morning "I wonder what is going on in Nisula, today?"

Seems some people might be confused about the difference. A troll lives beneath a bridge, which in MI case means south of the Mackinaw. This is commonly call the Mac. YOOPERs live above that bridge.

Not quite. A troll is anybody who lives or is from below(south of) the bridge. I am from down state but live in the upper peninsula now. I am still considered a troll. I consider myself a yooper, and can pass as one, but as soon as someone hears about where I grew up, I am called a troll. And I've lived here for 15 years, my wife and 2 daughters are real yoopers.

If it is anything like here, you aren't local until you have a couple of grandparents in the local graveyard....:)

Thank you for all the welcomes. Well a bit of info here. I was born and raised in Peoria IL.(1957) Never in my life did or have I ever considered myself anything other than a Yooper. My roots run very deep here. (Civil War) Used to come every summer, worked several dairy farms in Keweenaw Bay which is about 7 miles north of Baraga. LOL 300UGUY guess I'm local as I have grandparents, g-grandparents aunts uncles, cousins and my Dad. Rte 41 going thru Chassell Mi is named Willson Memorial after my great uncle and his brother my great grandfather was the first Game Warden (1908) here in the Copper Country Never heard that one before about the graveyard and hope you don't mind if I use it, LOL. It is certainly a unique place here and there is no in between, you love it or you don't!
This A.m. I am going to a local dealer to check out a Kioti CK2610! Thanks so much again for the nice welcome here at TBN.

I had to look it up, too. It's at the base of the Keweenaw .... They are there to keep the Finlanders penned up north of them.... Big Mac is the final line of defense...
