Back from voting
We were number 2 & 3, as number 1 was a neighbor volunteer.
We vote at the local Hongwanji, 281 registered voters
Paper ballot, right into the shredder. Well, they say it's a Tabulator, but we are a very very small majority, so it's not likely our vote has much impact.
Earlier on in our residence here we were invited to a local political gathering. Apparently, I spent too much time with the candidate in a real discussion about low cost housing - always an issue, never a reality, never invited back. Didn't know his family was in the construction business LOL.
Need to finish coffee, off to semi annual eye exam.

54°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 63° with some rain through the middle of the day.
Dropped junior off at school this morning, then went to vote. Had to come home afterwards and take a shower. I just felt dirty. Options from the top of the ballot to the bottom were uninspiring at best.
Burned about a 200-foot line of leaves yesterday afternoon. We line them up down the lower driveway and burn them there. Took a little over an hour. Pretty much all I accomplished outside, but wanted to get it done before the rains arrived today.

Survived the dentist appointment. Came home to find 3 Sandhills Cranes in backyard.

No. Sandhill Cranes graze on grass. Never seen one in water like Herons.

Looks like they like corn also like our wild turkeys, you should throw a bag of deer corn out there.

Good afternoon all. This morning the temp was 61F, 2 in rain in the gauge, overcast skies, and near calm wind. Made it all the way to 65F, winds out of the north at 8-14, no more rain during today. Went and voted this morning about 10 AM, still line at polling place. Election judge remarked that this was most line she had ever seen @ the polling place. Got ride in no problems, no water over low water bridge this morning, in spite of reports I had heard that water was rushing over bridge last night.
