You bet you both deserve a well-earned break, for sure! Rest breaks are an important part of getting the job done. R&R is an important part of life. Enjoy Hawaii, travel safely, see you back online when you've returned. :drink:

Surely! We fly out on Friday, can't wait!

The 3pt hitch stabilizer set showed up on Friday. I got the standard duty units, and they're plenty strong looking for sure. I'll snap a few pics soon, hopefully this week but I've got a lot going on. I have no doubt that these will do exactly what I need them to. One thing to note, the bars just come as the bars only- I had to order the "stabs" where they attach to the tractor separately.

The standard stay bars will do the job. I had a pair (original) on my mf135 inherited from my father ,the tractor was a 1964 model and had some massive loads. Always use as a pair as steel works in tension and bends under compression.
Have fun and happy holiday.

Providing they're of comparable to the original item, standard bars should do Ok. Yes, always use both. Fitting the forward attaching points is a ten-minute job. Recheck them 2-3 times - each couple of weeks to ensure they stay tight, otherwise they'll elongate their mounting holes, which is not good  or fall out, which is a lot worse.

Almost departure time :D Hope you and your wife have a most enjoyable and well-earned break! :drink:

You'll find the standard or high strength alloy will work just fine for most any job. Cutter or box blade

I acquired mine through yesterday's tractors as a stab bar and bracket kit. Previous owner had a one side sway bar only and that set up was constantly loosening the fender bolts when brush hogging with a 6ft cutter.

2 is the way to go. On my cutter the pto shaft would hit mower deck well before there was any support bar binding. But the kit it seems you bought and the one I have - has full clearance on the GENEROUS 3pt travel of the MF135.

I'll post some pictures later. If photobucket is working.

Right on, I have yet to install mine. I've got a lot going on, but plan to install them soon. Been wet here the past two days and I have other projects going on. I'll put them on before I mount the plow to the hitch for winter. Currently, the flail mower is still on. I have to set that on some pallets for winter, as I'm likely done with it for this year.

Saw the Pats Easy Change was a Black Friday deal.

Has anyone used the Massey Bar type stabilizer in conjunction with the easy change?

It appears the cat1 pins are just long enough for the Pats itself, not sure if it's advised to add longer pins or if they happen to make them?

Just feeling those out who may run into this issue.

It'll work, but you have to use a smaller diameter lynch pin on the Easy Change side...BobG in VA

So I finally finished a bunch of pre-winter projects and had some time to think about mounting the stabilizer bars. Lo and behold, the holes for mounting the pins near the axle are too small for the stabs included in the kit. Looks like I'll have to drill them out to 3/4".

Oh well! On a positive note, I finally finished modifying the old snow plow to fit the 3pt hitch. Next, tire chains are going on. Already have an old set I got for free that don't even look used!

So, I need to grab a good 3/4" bit and hog out the holes a bit, then I can install the stabilizers.

Here's a few pics of the plow for your enjoyment. Total cost was for the mounting pins, so only a few bucks and a bit of welding.
