64 going to 79 and a little sprinkle. That's about all we got from the hurricane yesterday.
Had a great dove shoot. My son and his wife and I had a blast. The wind added an extra challenge.
David, sounds like a good start to your trip...you leave a hurricane, arrive in Virginia just before one, but skip out again just in time. Hope Germany has better weather.
Eric, I planted two mixes for these fall plots...2 plots have a mix of soybeans, cowpeas, sorghum, sunflower and buckwheat...this won't produce seeds before frost kills it, but good nutrition in the young leaves until then. The other 2 plots have a mix of oats, triticale, peas, turnips, clover, radish and chicory which survives cold weather and will produce well into spring. My other standing plots are primarily clover, chicory and buckwheat. I have two more to plant that will be crimson clover as cover crops.
