Everyone, help me out here.
I have to fly out Wednesday for another meeting but back Friday.
Madeline my two year old grand daughter is coming with her Nanny to visit me she's decided.
Ok. Since I'm flying out and getting back late the same time they get in, I figure I better get a little shopping done.
After all, even I know that a two year old can't survive long on a about three bud Lites and 4 pieces left of a 8 piece bucket of Kentucky fried chicken. Which is exactly what is in my hotel refrigerator at this very moment. And a Hungryman Salisbury steak Tv dinner I'd forgot about. Woohoo supper tonight after all.

So Nanny and some copies from the mama texts start pouring in on what this child likes to eat. And pouring in.
What the **** is a Chobani yogurt pack and why is it in different flavors?
She likes 2% milk but 100% apple juice. But straws with both. What....? SHE'S TWO!
Fruity pebbles, Captain crunch(which are pretty good in the peanut flavor) string cheese, plain chips with French onion dip and Perrier grapefruit bottled water.
SHE DOESN'T WEIGH 30 lbs probably.
When I was two, we liked to eat dirt! How is she picky?
So one more lap around this **** store(oops, also have to watch my mouth while she's here) to find straws and fig newtons and I can head in. Oh yes. And the pretzel rods. And the gold fish from pepperidge farms. Oh. And I mustn't forget the red or green grapes!
There better be room for my beer in that fridge when this is done.

Good morning. It's great to get up today and feel I'm back to normal. Yesterday whatever bug is doing the rounds had my head spinning so much, I didn't feel safe to drive either car or tractor. Fortunately unlike some, I was spared the need to spend the day in the bathroom (hope I haven't now gone and tempt fate too much by saying that).

I was supposed to have spent the afternoon tedding hay at a farm over the hill and felt real bad to let them down and say I couldn't do it. They decided to round bale and wrap instead, which probably turned out to be for the best as some heavy rain is now on the forecast.

Don, hope whipper is soon on the mend. Has she had snake bites before ?

Lenny, you must be wishing the week away until Friday.

No coffee today. 58° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 88° with mostly cloudy skies. No coffee for next 3 days. So I can take a hearing/balance test. Taking wife for a doctor appointment today. Then she is taking me out to lunch.
Txdon, hope Whipper gets better quick. You need her protection.
Good Morning All.

mid seventies going up to high 80's again today, with the usual shower coming through.
haven't checked the rain gauge; curious what came down last night.

If anyone can recommend a self emptying electronic rain gauge that will last longer than three months, I'm all ears.

Am waiting for a call back on my car to get it in for a new headliner install. Mine is flopping down, apparently heat bakes and decomposes the foam cushion underneath, a real mess.
First estimate was $650. And the guy didn't return two phone calls. Next guy who my mechanic recommended said max of 250.
Why so different I asked. The guy smiled and said "because you drive a Jaguar." The implication being he was honest and the other guy...well.
Frankly, it's a lot of work. They have to remove the entire headliner assembly, a hard cardboardy kind of thing, scrape off all the old glue and foam, and then reapply all new headliner, including taking out the sun roof and doing that separately. Seems like quite a bargain for 200 bucks; I told them gently they could go higher and do a nice job, take their time, etc. Shouldn't be any more difficult than RNG's little touch up paint job...;)

Good morning all. 65 going to 79 today with a 0% chance of patchy showers, what ever that is. Put a down payment on a 12 x 20 storage shed yesterday that will be my wood shop. Will use mostly hand tools so I hope it will be enough room. Will build a small pole building with a gravel floor for my blacksmith shop, or I might do that in the garage, don't know yet. The shed should will be built on sight and should be up in 3 or 4 weeks. Today I hope to get some work done getting some boxes out of the garage and down into the basement. As a way to avoid climbing the stairs so much i am going to try a ramp, a sheet of plywood ripped in half, and sliding the boxes down with a rope around them. Sounds goofy but I can't climb the stairs 15 times in a half hour with a hand truck of heavy boxes and not be wore out.

Don Hope wipper is doing well this am.

Lenny I bet you eat a lot different than your father did, but the thing you will have to worry about is she is going to be on a SUGAR HIGH, and you are in a hotel with her.

Eric Hope you feel better today

Ron I don't like coffee but it seems sad that you won't have any for 3 days. I guess your coffee is a part of my morning. :).

have a great day Ed

Now Lenny I think you were doing just fine with half a Bud Light and some minced chicken fingers; a nicely balanced meal.
If not, I bet the nanny will enjoy them...you did fine on your shopping. Chobani, as you found out, is fancy Greek yogurt, which seems to be all the rage.
Anyone want to tell me why Greek yogurt is allegedly better/healthier than regular yogurt? It's thicker and gummier for sure.

I think it's quite admirable that your two year old granddaughter decided all by herself she wanted to come visit. You must have the best lollipops!
I bet you will have great fun.

and get the straws unless you want even more spills. Have you kidproofed your hotel room? Watch those lower cabinets...
