As far as developing a banking relationship with Chase:
... run away as fast as you can.
The experience at Chase was... weird. Each time I was met at the door by a just out of high schooler in badly fitting shirt and tie, then paired with a "banker". The first was just older than the greeter, and similarly clothed, who tried to make small talk that just came off as condescending. The second time, same greeter, but the next banker was a woman who appeared to be in her late 30s to mid 40s (how do you tell?) dressed in a business suit that flattered her figure. Not exactly appropriate bank attire, but who am I to complain?
I'm thinking about just using the checking facilities at my brokerage house, but how do I cash checks and what am I supposed to use for a safe deposit box?
