B7100 HST - how good is this tractor?

Like was already said, it will be a workhorse for you. My dad bought a B8200 going on 30 years ago and it has done everything from loader work, finish mowing, to baling hay. It has been a great tractor and is still going strong with about 4500 hours.

I'll use it as is for a while. If I can't live without the FEL, I'll either trade up or look into adding one.
I'd also be interested in knowing about who can sell me a power steering module for it if anyone has some good sources.

Get a Carry All AND CALL IT A DAY. Too expensive to upgrade to FEL & PS.

Before I got carry all I used dirt scoop a lot, there is a reason they call the scoop loader for the poor man :)

Just like RobertN in Calif., I too had a B8200 with an aftermarket Bush Hog loader. I found I wanted power steering after using it to clear snow for hours on end, and got lucky in finding an old stock Kubota aftermarket kit. For occasional loader work, no PS just means more arm development. It was a very capable little tractor, probably still going strong with its new owners. I would check out the link for the loader kits posted earlier... might be cost effective.

I’m a little late with this thread but thought I’d chime in. I have a B7200, about 30 years old. No Hydro, three speed, high and low range. I bought it new with a manual angle adjust Kasko 50” snow blade. I added a 3pt scoop from Tractor supply, a 3 pt boom and found a used woods RM 42 brush hog. This handled living on 12 wooded acres, 1000’ gravel driveway maintenance and snow clearing. I did get a set of tire chains for some extreme snow conditions or hauling logs out of the woods. Never an issue with the tractor. All maintainance was done and the only issue I ever had was one of the clutch pedal springs breaking. So a few bucks for a spring and ‘old orange’ is still used. I did get a B3030 with a FEL about 7-8 years ago which is used for moving all the stuff I need to or seem to move. And my new 5 year old baby is a BX2360 which handles the mowing now. The B7200 will outlive me. All they need is a little TLC and are a breeze to maintain. The engine still runs perfectly as new. Have fun with your new found Kubota.

How many hours on it now?

My B1750 is above 1500 now, got it under a 1000 - but the cable was broken,it could have more than that.

Heck, it’s just getting broke in. Only 1400 HRS. I have the ag tires on it and it just churns away. As long as I get a little traction I never get stuck. ;)
