Hello,

My clutch has no free play nearly at all at the clutch pedal. About 3/10 times when I'm completely stopped, and putting the tractor in gear (w/ the FEL off the ground, parking brake off, etc), it grinds a bit. Sometimes it grinds more than others. I want to adjust the clutch pedal free play to see if this helps at all.

I have the FSM and operators manual, and I know the procedure:

1) remove cotter pin securing the adjustment rod to the cross shaft bell crank. Done

2) Lengthen / shorten rod as needed into or out of the clevis.

3)reposition adjustment rod to cross shaft bellcrank & secure w/ new cotter pin.

Here is my issue: I can get the cotter pin out, but this area is in a bit of a tight spot. I'm having trouble removing the bolt that the cotter pin fits through in the clevis, this needs removed in order to rotate the clevis I believe for shortening/lengthening.

Once I get the bolt out, what is the best tool for rotating the clevis? It is located to the right of the clutch pedal assembly and alongside the firewall I believe it is, it's too tight to get a normal crescent wrench or anything in there. I removed the plastic cover surrounding the firewall (Below the dash cluster, the cover that houses the ignition).

I'm pretty inexperienced with tractors but this seemed like an easy enough job. Anyone have any tips on removing the bolt and accessing the clevis? What tools should help in this confined space?

Turns out, my bolt was just extremely seized, and as soon as I got it off, the clevis and linkage came right off after removing the bellcrank cotter pin and the clevis bolt cotter pin.

Mod can delete. Sorry for useless post.
