The hose you loosened is a low pressure line. It carries fluid from the transmission pump to the main pump. If you have pressure in that line, you should have sufficient oil being supplied to the main pump to function. If the small reservoir above the pump is full, the transmission pump is supplying sufficient oil. I am guessing you have a problem with the stroke control valve in the main pump, or a failure of the main pump. arts in item 27 is the stroke control valve. Loosen nut 25 and then screw out #26 to remove the stroke control valve assembly. The top 2 parts have tapered seats that mate together. The top most part(valve seat) will not come out when you remove the plug. You need to remove the top plug and drive it out with a punch from the top. Before you do that however, inspect the tapered seat on the valve just below it. If the tapered seat looks good with no gouges, dents, cracks or debris, then the seat is probably ok also and does not need to be removed. If everything looks good, clean all the parts and reassemble. Sometimes a small piece of debris gets between the valve and seat, not allowing pump to build pressure. Thank you so much for the guidance! Before I do all of that, would there be any value in running a pressure test first?
Also, will removal of this part result in a bunch of fluid spilling out? No problem, I just want to be prepared.
Edit - Looks like I'll need the pressure set anyway, since removal will require readjustment, correct?

Check mainpumpcoupler and key on mainpumpshaft ....then priorityvalve...remove and clean !

In the picture you posted, the port that I want to hookup the pressure faux to is #19, correct?
On my tractor it has a 5/8 bolt there.

I got a wrench on the bolt where the shaft couples to the pump. Feels tight. I have not removed the shaft to check the key yet though. I want to test the pressure before I go pulling the shaft out.

Yes, you can check pressure there. Yu also can check at outlet on rear of tractor. I assume you have an scv?

Not exactly sure what SCV is but I do have a front loader and in the rear there are a few auxiliary ports.
If I test those ports on the back will they indicate pressure right off the main pump also?
I have a test gauge ordered which has the fitting for the main pump directly, as well as the QD male fitting for the rear aux port.

SCV = Selective Control Valve
You will get pump pressure from the rear outlet, but you must activate the valve for the outlet.
