What a bunch of BS. Soon as I saw Christian Science Monitor I opted out.

I actually thought this might be a valuable assessment of one's opinions. Instead it's an addition to skewed data...... Everyone that completes adds to the skewed database. We need to grow up. :(

Agree, I quite at about #5

There is no evidence, only models that have been wrong for 18 years now. It's been proven to be a hoax, why must we keep having to bring this up.... Man caused global warming is dead, funny the attempt to connect it to CO2 has actually proven that CO2 is not even a factor in global climate change. People are down right tired of people pushing a liberal agenda against fossil fuels with this hoax. More of what you thought shown untrue.

In the seventies Scientist were predicting a return to the ice age by 2050 if we did not get rid of CFC's. We got rid of CFC's. Now we are getting first to warm. When that did not pan it changed to climate change.

The thing to watch is the researchers are dependent on tax dollars to fund their lifestyle. As we have seen over the last 25 years all sorts of research has come out to show drinking coffee is bad. Another study said drinking coffee is good. Same for Alcohol. One study alcohol good other bad.

Follow the money. If the research agency needs more money they find support for something that requires more research and more money. If they don't their funding (paycheck) gets cut or reduced.
There are a lot of people making millions of $ on promoting climate change. There are still scientist that hold we are still headed for another ice age.

11,000 years ago we were in an ice age. It ended when the planet started warming up. As the ice melts there is less ice to absorb the heat so it goes into the air. As the ice continues to melt the air will get warmer.

The planet has gone through many ice ages over time before people were around. They occur in cyclical patterns. We're in the warm end of the cycle.

So that is what you are hoping for? GW science being wrong?

It is a religion not a science. It surprises me the people who still believe.

Correct me if i"m wrong but I read the other day that ice melting in Greenland is exposing foundations of earlier settlements. So in other words the ice has receded back to where it was at some point in history. Could be the earth has experienced climate change in previous millenniums.

Good to know cow farts aren't the problem as was once stated by the Washington Wizards.
No doubt the USA could be significantly cooler without all the hot air spewing from the political establishment.

Have not heard of these cave etchings showing this before? ;)

Scored 65%. Thought I knew more about climate change. Need to put more time in my studies.

My take on this is pretty simple. The atmosphere is a heat engine. Add more heat (=energy) to that engine the processes that that engine can perform are going to have more energy available. So expect to see record high temperatures, record winter snow storms, stronger wind storms (hurricanes, tornados), faster melting ice, permafrost melting, faster rising sea levels, etc.

The debate is over. Anthropogenic CO2 is causing this increase in available heat energy that drives atmospheric processes.

Saying it doesn't make it true. :mur:

I don't think the debate is over at all. Science has been proven wrong before and will again. That the earth is warming there is no doubt. Is it warming because of man's activities. Probably. Is it going to be catastrophic to the earth. I sincerely doubt it.

This whole climate change thing is more about moving money from the masses to the rich than about anything else.
