Kioti CK2610 HST
I am a first time tractor buyer and looking to buy in the next few weeks. I'm looking at either a CK2510 or CK2610 both in HST, my question is, which is better suited for my needs? I have only 3.5 acres but about 250-300 yards of gravel driveway that needs plowed and maintained. Also cutting down grass and weeds and cleaning up downed trees and limbs.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Welcome to the Bynet.
I would strongly consider the CK2610 for its larger frame, more powerful engine and especially the 3 speed hst.

For your needs, and the fact that the CK2510 now has a mid mount mower and the 2610 does not, I'd go with the 2510.

As much as I love my 2610, I would say the 2510 would fit you better. But the most important part is to sit on them both and really think about your comfort! This was my deciding factor, I'm 6'3" and the 2510 was crapped and I couldn't see myself comfortable sitting for extended periods of time doing loader work or much of anything on the 2510.

It doesn't come standard but a mid mount PTA is available on the 2610.

Comfort comfort comfort!!!

I agree. Comfort is really important. I went in looking to buy a CK 2510 but it was cramped and the rocker HST pedal for my large feet was a no go. Ended up getting a CK 3510 because it just fit better.

Thanks all for the advise. I agree comfort is important. I have tested the CK2510 and wasn't too impressed with the FWD/REV pedal, also felt a bit cramped. I'm going to the dealer and see if they have a CK2610/CK3510 that I can test.

Wow, the 3510 is in a completely different class than the 2610. Bigger frame, more weight, bigger hydraulics, bigger tractor (35HP). Probably WAY overkill for you. Nice tractor, I have it's predecessor for my 25 acres. I do agree that if you don't like the 2510, you should look at the 2610. I also think the 2610 either has a MMM, or one is in the works. Also, there is the CS2410, which also has a MMM.

2610 and 3510 have same frame and same size. Only difference is HP and FEL has higher lift capacity.

Thanks 12Bravo, I didn't think Kioti's website would be that incorrect.

I'm going to assume you are being sarcastic.

If you think the website if off a bit, wait till you read the owners manual, good luck!

Their service manual is one of the best I've ever seen!

Mines not, it's vague. Uses old data and information, me and the dealer laughed about some of the stuff in it. the FEL and BH manual was just as bad. Great machine, crappy manuals, at least the ones I got. Maybe I'm use to Honda and other power equipment manuals.

Not the owners manual but the service manual. I agree the owners book not so goodly.

Same here. The OM is worse, but not as bad as some I've seen. Although I still an unclear on what they think the engine start sequence is. But for the most part it is clear what they mean.

The website is a joke, you would think they would be big enough to hire someone to keep it up to date.

I am also a first time owner and plenty ignorant and bought a 2510 and now have 35 hours on it. Have been mowing about 4+ acres, scraping the drive (1/3 mile), some trail hogging/raking, firewood hauling and general FEL work. Had the tires loaded and added a tooth bar. Most of my land is hilly and the woods and trails are tight. I'm 6'. fit fine, very happy at this point.

I don't have a service manual, where did you get one, I would like to have one.

I thought we was talking about OM, sorry.

The CK2610 wasn't even listed on the website till a month or two after I bought it. They are slow to make changes online for sure.

You can get one online as a PDF, mine cost about $20. There is a thread on here with a link for free service manuals, don't know if it has the 2610. Also not sure how legal it is, but if you search you should find it. You should be able to get a print copy from your dealer too. Really recommend them, even for just routine maintenance, much better than the OM.

2610 not listed in the CK 10 series brochure yet either.

I've heard the 2610 has a MMM coming for it. I'm in a pickle as I'm in the middle of buying a new Tractor.
