I'm a long ways from an expert but try increasing the pixel size on your camera.

Personally, I wouldnt as it can make things a pain when you put large pictures inline.
However, if you want to do that, you attatch the picture like you do now and make the post, then click on the picture and get the address of the picture (http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...626-can-you-identify-pto-shaft-img_2245-1-jpg for the first picture in the post you linked).
Edit your post (you can do this for 24 hours after you make the post), click on the "insert image" icon, click on the "From Url" tab, paste in the address, uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box, then click the "Ok" button and save your changes.
You will then end up with something like this:

Posting big photos are inconsiderate to us that have a slow connection... I usually back out of those threads... such a pain in the arse trying to read when pages jump around, loading each photo.

OR for those that have limited or pay for bandwidth.

I prefer the large pics in the thread but my connection is fast.

I used to post large pics and would occasionally hear a complaint. So I stopped. It's a pain for the fast connection guys to have to open the pic to see it and then "back" out to continue reading. But that's better than losing participation because slow connectors give up.

What I do is a middle click or control click on the pictures so they open in a new tab, then I don't lose where I am in the thread.

The size of the picture doesn't matter. You can change the displayed size in the post: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/photos/107314-photo-posting-how-3.html?highlight=#post3967120

You can post small pictures in the post that are displayed big, like this small 420x300 pixel picture.

This one is 678x430:

And 814x530:

And your picture is Huge at 2448x3264, 1.1MB, and takes a long time to load:

To be considerate of those with lower speed connections and multiple users and those with limited data plans etc. etc....IMO the default settings for posting thumbnail size versions is the right way to go...

Some contributors hot link to images that have no bandwidth limits and some pictures in those posts can be 5 mb or more

IMO it's not a big deal to click on a thumbnail to see a full size image...and postings load a lot faster for those with slower connection speeds...

The default size for a thumnail is now back to 10 MB, so when clicked it takes a long time to load and uses a lot of my 10 gig monthly allowance from Hughes Net

You missed the point of my post.

After you upload the thumnail as a small size, double click it and display it "Full Size"

This appears when you double click the thumnail, click "Full Size" and "OK":
