Get some knowledgeable advice on just changing the rear tires to R1s with MFWA.
I wouldn't switch out R4 for R1 if the tractor is mostly used for clearing land. Ballast and 4wd should handle traction issues. R1s are for Ag use in prepared fields and not as tough as R4s for use in brush or woods.

4) need a couple retaining clips for pins on the grapple.
Go to TSC or Harbor Freight and get an assortment of hitch clips, draw pins, r-clips etc. and put them in your toolbox. $50 spent before you need it is priceless when you lose one in the field and can immediately replace it.

Justin- I was told that isue had already been fixed by the dealer... I'll certainly post back when I get it figured out.
This is an issue that I've been dealing with since day 1. Lately it has only been a drop or two, so I'm ok with it. Still really frustrating.....

I don't know if they have THAT wide an assortment in one package, I just grabbed that image off the web for an example. But I have gotten for example the CountyLine Lynch Pins, the CountyLine Hairpin Cotter Pins, 5/16 in. - 7/8 in., Pack of 16, etc. at TSC. It seems the brush sometimes steal the lynch pins off my cutter while it's in use.
And there are several threads on TBN about fancier pins that apparently never come off on their own.

Fancy lynch pins that don't come off are called 2 1/2" stainless bolts with nyloc nuts.:) HF also sells assortments of traditional lynch pins and clips.

Or a little bailing wire on a lynch pin.

Bolts with nyloc nuts... that'd do it! Sometimes, just being careful which way you put the snap ring facing on the pin makes a difference- if brush doesn't catch the ring and flip it open, it'll stay put. But having spares in the toolbox on the tractor is basic. And I'd second (third?) that R-4s are the best all-purpose tires for the OP's uses. Ag tires seem too vulnerable to cuts, and harder to fit chains to.

Thanks guys... I didn't realize the R1's were less 'sturdy'. I think I'll stick with the R4's and just fill them.

I went through the same idea but agree with the others, r4's will be better overall. The heavy mud was really the issue but with the 4wd and bigger tires (than most other brands) on the front it was not an issue. My Kubota was bad in the mud with the wimpy fronts they use. That was one deciding factor on the Mahindra, congrads and have fun.
