Carrying stuff on your Kubota?

Back to the topic of the thread though, about where to keep saws and gas and stuff??? If out notice the front of both trailers have a large area with expanded metal bottom for saws and gas.

We can haul 4 large saws, 1 little saw, gas and oil just on the front of big trailer and the expanded metal is perfect for tying down with bunjie(sp) cord.

Nice job on the trailers LD1:)

I too need a tool carrier that will hold my 36" long chainsaw, gas/oil container, tools, axe etc.,.

I figure something like Bigman has would be good as it will allow me to have my carry-all or box blade on the back. I no longer carry my chainsaw and tools in the bucket-I sometimes forgot they where there:eek:

I happen to have one of these in the garage so I am going to attach it with my steel clamps and washers -ActionPacker® Cargo Box - 48 gal . This box has a lid on it so it will keep the rain off my stuff.

I am careful of the "Beverly Hillbillies" syndrom when piling stuff on my Tractor. If I go out fencing or cutting, I use the ATV and a small trailer. Come back with the tractor if I have to.

I glued the end caps on and painted. Drilled a hole for a nail to hold it in position. I cut the PVC to fit the length and cut part of the tube to make it easy to put the chain in and get out. A thicker PVC would be sturdier but I used what I had and it does ok.

What is the diameter of that PVC? How much thicker PVC would you have gotten? Is there a nail or something on the opposite end to keep it from pushing thru?

This is an almost 7 year old thread. You may not get a reply.

I figured it out and am pretty happy with the results...

Good, now we need pictures and info to help future info searchers.

Dragging up old threads isn't always a bad thing... brings ideas back to the surface.

Yep, and allows previous posters to add updates, successes, failures, etc.

I think ccsial was just warning that the original poster might not be hanging around here anymore. :)

Richard... I understand that, I guess I should have added that to my earlier post... sure the OP may not respond, but, obviously, some of us are! Which is a good thing, for the reasons you point out above.

I guess the reason I posted in the first place, is that this got me thinking in new directions on my own on-tractor storeage needs/wants.

The interaction of us all, new and old, is what makes this and other forums like it, so valuable to me, and likely most of us.

I agree with xfaxman's post too... pictures please!

I use a QH on my M9540. I built a cage/rack to carry chainsaws or whatever. It is attached/removed without tools. Simple gravity, one pipe slipped inside another design.

Also have a scabbard type carrier for an individual saw. Use it most. Sorry I couldn't find a better pic.

Yep. And I know you are searching for ideas concerning additions to your roll cage. Maybe this will spark some enthusiasm. :)

Lol... enthusiasm? No problem there. Time and money? Much harder to find! Ideas abound... reality is far different!

Log Chain box. Love it!!!!

Not sure I love it as much as my cooler holder though!!!! I carry lunch most days at the farm. Throw in a couple waters. In the bottom have a couple Beers for day's end. Life is good. :)

Another very handy addition. Tool Box to carry hitch pins, hammer, clevis', insect repellant, etc. Just above it an open topped plastic container to hold the Cell Phone, Glasses Case, etc.

Does the 'barley pop' stay cold enough all day? Beer gotta be cold, water I can drink less-cold... I might have to drink the beer with lunch!

But if I have the Beer for lunch the productivity meter bottoms out after that...... ;)

Lol... not me... I just break more stuff, and am more likely to need that roll cage!

Maybe we should find some other thread to hijack... we're getting a little off topic... oops.
