4" in eastern Nebraska yesterday. Hardly worth moving but it was fun getting on the tractor for an hour or so.
Updated to 16" snow on top of 1/4" ice. Deciding if I plow twice or wait and try to take it all on at once. Should be exciting!
Four brand new tire chains , but found they needed 3 cross links taken out each. 1025 did a fine job with rear blade & bucket. Plowed down a very steep hill to auto gate that was froze. Was even able to back up the hill using diff lock. 13" on ground now, but going to snow 20 more hoursThat might depend on if rear tire chains.

have to get the gate chain unfroze with insporyl alcohol to plow drive. Also had a issue with rt front chain coming off. One chain missing makes a big difference. Truck needs dug out too.Sounds like you hit the nail on the head for traction.Post some pics if you can of plowing the nasty storm.
I-75 shut down in two counties. Laurel & rockcastle. Was 3000 people stranded and nalt. Guard taking some to shelters.have to get the gate chain unfroze with insporyl alcohol to plow drive. Just a few flurries here.
I can't get over the news and weather channels. You'd think the end of the world was here. Many parts of the country, including here, get several storms per season like this.
I guess they just want to help support the 'climate change' fear mongers.
Disagree. Areas getting the brunt of this storm don't see these events often. Kinda like Boston had "normal" storms last winter with "minimal" hype.
