How's everyone doing with the SNOW

/ How's everyone doing with the SNOW #581
4" in eastern Nebraska yesterday. Hardly worth moving but it was fun getting on the tractor for an hour or so.

We got 1/4" in 2010

I'll be in SE KY this weekend. Should have around 12" waiting on me. I'll get to try out a jd1025 with loader, blade & chains.

Updated to 16" snow on top of 1/4" ice. Deciding if I plow twice or wait and try to take it all on at once. Should be exciting!

That might depend on if rear tire chains.

Four brand new tire chains , but found they needed 3 cross links taken out each. 1025 did a fine job with rear blade & bucket. Plowed down a very steep hill to auto gate that was froze. Was even able to back up the hill using diff lock. 13" on ground now, but going to snow 20 more hours

There hasn't been enough around my place to get out anything but the shovels. Glad I'm still able to shovel.

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head for traction. :)

Post some pics if you can of plowing the nasty storm.

have to get the gate chain unfroze with insporyl alcohol to plow drive. Also had a issue with rt front chain coming off. One chain missing makes a big difference. Truck needs dug out too.
My pics aren't loading for some remote server reason?

Just a few flurries here.

I can't get over the news and weather channels. You'd think the end of the world was here. Many parts of the country, including here, get several storms per season like this.

I guess they just want to help support the 'climate change' fear mongers.

Yeah, but there areas that are getting the snow today don't have a clue how to deal with it! It will take them a week to clean up the roads. The drivers there are even worse!

Make sure your photo's are less than 1 megabyte in size. 1 meg and up will not load

Disagree. Areas getting the brunt of this storm don't see these events often. Kinda like Boston had "normal" storms last winter with "minimal" hype.

The last time this area (meaning Baltimore-Philadelphia) got a snow like this was the winter of 2010-2011...February 2011, IIRC.

Month ago southern areas were in upper 60's-70's and today old man winter sending stern reminder...little crazy weather for east coast.

How is everybody doing with the snow? I'm admiring it.

We received only six inches here in Rutherford County Thursday night, but it's enough to put the halt to most anything that uses a road.
