I am selling my 7yo Haflinger gelding, he is stout enough to pull stuck tractors out of the mud and small enough to ride

sounds like the most powerful one hp device you have...;) four wheel drive too

I can just see me leaping over my water ditches galloping around the outside of the orchard, hard left around the big tree and back down around, over two ditches on the fly and then skid to a halt in front of the barn. Wheee.

Hey boss, could you get off now, you lardbutt.

the new shed appears to be done, metal finished today. Next week when things quiet down (for me) I'll get stone delivered and landscape the area, and then start moving equipment over and planning my rolling jigs. Finally...

Looks very nice Drew. You must be breathing a huge sigh of relief!

I have just discovered how Dangerous Facebook is. Looks like I am headed to Dawson WV after Christmas to look at a Draft Horse. Will be there on my B-day (the 29th) and I can't think of a better present for myself. All I remember about WV is mountains, does anyone know anything about the Dawson area? Why do I get the feeling I will be getting 6mpg in my truck pulling a 2000 pound horse in the trailer...

Golfers have more than one club, Kev, but I guess they don't take up as much room or eat as much hay as a horse?

Good morning! Reporting the coldest so far at 34˚ heading to only 55˚. My city brothers are going to help me clean out my Dad's tractor shed next week. They are very worried about the two skunks in there. I told them they are just like stray cats just chase them out - this is going to be fun.:D

Plenty of time to get 'em out of there with a couple of traps. Leg holds, or Have-a-Hearts if you've got 'em. Not sure what to tell ya about the stink, though, other than deal with it now or deal with it later, but you will have to deal with it.

Bucket level indicator is ordered. Dealer to install once he gets the remotes in.

I hope he's not charging much for that installation! All that's required it to replace one pin on the bucket linkage and install a wire keeper. He'd really have to work at it to take ten minutes...

If the sun hasn't woke up yet I don't need to either. :)

Aren't farmers supposed to get up with the chickens? Or do they sleep in, too?

Good morning all. 30F this morning, expected colder after strong north wind last night, clear and near calm wind. Forecast for today clear with light to moderate wind and 51F. need to go get some oak firewood, friend had a tree dropped 2 weeks ago and I said I would take the wood. Cool bike ride on tap for today :cold: . Also need to get leaves cleaned before Christmas, have company coming.

Good Morning! 47F @ 7:15 AM. Periods of rain. High 52F. Winds SE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall may reach one inch.

Better than 50% chance of rain every day for the next week. But still no gully washers on the horizon. Lake level's up five feet in the last week, but has started to level off. Only 150 feet to go until it's full again.

TGIF folks!

Cool here this am, overcast. Supposed to have lunch with a neighbor, he was at the docs yesterday. He needs some pretty serious surgery, but he is refusing it, saying that he has had enough. I think he is fatalistic, as he has remarked several times that he has outlived all of his relatives. I keep telling him to think about the grandkids, but he has his mind made up. Sad, but it is his life.

Had a problem with my boxer girl, or my gurrrl, as I call her. She somehow had got into a yellow jacket nest! The warm weather apparently got them active. She kept getting me up during the night, I didn't notice anything wrong, I just thought she needed to go! At about 2 am, she woke up my wife, and she noticed that her face was swollened up. So, a run to a all night animal hospital, a steroid shot, more Benndrill. And about $200. But she is worth it. Every penny, and a lot more.

So now we are back to our usual programming!

Have a good one!
