Great thread. I overslept today and was worried about getting to the gym late. It had to be a miracle because my trip from the country to the city was a symphony of all the lights and traffic going in my favor. The road was my oyster. I left 15 minutes late and got there a couple minutes early. Clearly a Festivus miracle.


What is this "Dirty Santa" gift exchange you speak of? Intriguing...

Raining today on my drive to Houston. Number of wrecks/traffic back-ups observed = 0.

I went to the local electrical supply house for 30' of 10guage stranded wire. A guy was standing at the other end of counter buying but not happy that he had to buy a 500' roll of 10g stranded wire because they don't sell it by the foot.

I bought 30' feet from him, what are the chances we'd both be there at the same time?.

I once had a guy stuck at the end of my driveway at the county road, blocking me from getting out. He told me the hill to the east was impassable. I said " Really?". I asked if he could move his car one way or the other at which time I noticed he had chains on his rear wheels with his front wheels spinning. I suggested he might switch his chains to his front wheels at which point he started yelling at me telling me he was from Nebraska and he knew all about driving in the snow. (Not intending to offend any of our Nebraska TBN friends, but that is what he said). I just kept my mouth shut and eventually pushed him downhill a bit so I could get onto the county road. I then proceeded in my F250 to go up the "impassable" road and even stopped to pull a car out of the ditch. I got out of my truck, looked back at the the guy in the car car once I was at the top of the hill and waved. I could see his mouth open and he was scratching his head.
