The "5th wheel" photo series has been around for a few years now. I first saw it under the heading "why do bad things happen to good people?" discussing what was going to happen when he towed that in mountainous Utah (where the the mini-SUV license plate says it is from). Scary.

sad part is, you see he bolted the rails there and this was obvious a planned journey.. not a roadside emergency fix..

My 24' fiberglass extension ladder was a roadway score. It was so new it still had one of the little factory tags around rungs on the slider and fixed portions.

If there is an upside, that's it. I have found lots of good stuff on the interstate over the years. Lots of plywood, tools, good steel, etc.


One thing I haven't seen here is any photos of someone pulling a (too tall) travel trailer that either took down a gas station canopy or perhaps just ripped the air conditioning unit off the trailer.
